My Silver Heart

Chapter 2

We were now all sixteen except me i was seventeen one of the oldest in our team, this team was me, Adora, Catra, Jake, a weird lizard and a girl that didn't tell us her name. I had fun talking to all of them but i was still close to Adora and Catra as we were childhood friends, Adora is our team leader while i'm the one to go in first to check and protect from the enemy, Catra was the agile and stealthy one always getting her prey silently while the other two would cover our flank, today we are going to train with staffs.

''Alright everyone today this team is assigned to train on self defence try your best to counter and take down the opponent last one standing wins good luck, team leader you know what to do.'' the supervisor stated moving out of the room.

''Ok you heard the supervisor self defence is key to winning our fights give it your all everyone and good luck, you guys may pick your opponent or just go against the closest one'' Adora said with determination ''Catra i want to go against you'' she said with a smile getting a nod out of Catra as they both made their way a little further away from the group.

The other two looked at me with cocky smiles as they got in their stances ready to fight ''Ok two versus one i'm game don't hold BACK!!'' i ordered getting pumped up for a challenge, seeing my best friends already going at each other, i was snapped out of my thoughts as they both shouted trying to strike me with their staffs. I stepped back making James miss while blocking the girl's pounce, when she hit the ground i swiped her off the floor with a kick but i couldn't finish it off as James was coming in from behind me, i turned around and used my staff to hit him in the chest making him stagger back with the advantage i moved closer hitting him with a sequence from the belly to the chest finishing him off with a head hit knocking him out ''Now its just you and me'' i stated with a smile as the fight moved on i noticed the lizard making his way to attack Catra from behind with this seen i kicked my opponent away and running at the lizard full sprint as we was about to attack i shouted like a warrior getting everyone's attention kicking him away, Catra noticed what i did seeing a blush form on her face.

''Oooo some one's blushing!'' Adora mocked in a friendly way making Catra stumble ''N-No what are you talking about'' she replied trying to strike Adora with her staff ''Do you like him?'' Adora asked enjoying how Catra was struggling ''Y-Yeah i'm not going to comment besides don't you like him as well?'' Catra countered making Adora giggle ''I do but not in that way Silver is like a big brother to me always protecting us and being there when we most need him so don't worry i wont steal your boyfriend'' Adora giggled harder giving Catra an opportunity to strike kicking her towards another teammate ''Great i'm gonna go fight him now good luck'' Catra said jumping towards Silver.

Phew i finally took the lizard out and well i wasn't at my best after hearing what my best friends thought of me as i tried to stop blushing and that's when i saw Catra coming towards 'wait shes coming towards me no this is not good come on Silver compose yourself' i thought to myself blocking her attack as she giggled ''Nice blush did someone steal your first kiss'' Catra mocked with a sly smile ''No i'm keeping it for someone especial, especially after hearing your little comments while you two fought'' i countered making Catra blush as well, the spar went on but her tail kept distracting me with its beautiful grace and her shiny blue and yellow eyes ''I must say you're the best one so far out of everyone I've defeated'' I proudly stated getting a smile out of Catra ''Thanks Silver you are also a great sparring buddy'' she replied sweetly, we were enjoying our fight when Adora came in making it a free for all ''Oh come on Adora i was nearly beating Silver stop taking all the fun!'' Catra mocked making me chuckle the fight kept going i managed to get a couple of hits on Adora but i also sustained a couple as i got the upper hand from her lack of energy knocking Adora out of the fight but that didn't last long as Catra go the upper hand on me by having more energy and some powerful moves granting her the win.
