Saturday afternoon. Rain drizzling. I quickly rush out my car and cover my head as I head for your door. I ring your doorbell. Once. Nothing. Twice. Nothing. A wave of panic rushes over me but soon leaves as I see your familiar, warm face. I engulf you in a hug and we both stay there for a second before we come back to reality and go further into your house. I greet your mom and soon we are left on our own. I take off my jacket to reveal my comfy PJ's and we rush upstairs to your room. I place my sleepover bag down and we go to your bay window and take in the view. It's absolutely breathtaking. I place a foot on the window and one on the floor, tapping to the beat stuck in my head. We place our hands out the window to feel raindrops trickling down our sleeves. We giggle like kids and shake our hands till they feel dry. And then we ask the monumental question. What should we do? We get to thinking. You put your back flat on your bed and think as you stare at the ceiling. I sit in you chair and spin until I get nauseous. After thinking for about a solid 2 minutes, we give up on the idea and go back to out usual. Movie, food and board games. We rush to your movie collection and choose the latest murder mystery. While I put in the CD you quickly run downstairs to make popcorn. I place the CD and get out my blanket and wait on the couch across the TV. You run back up breathless and snuggle with your own blanket. We finish 1/4 of the popcorn before we even start the movie. We sit there for a good hour. 1/2 of it spent watching the movie and 1/2 of it spent giggling and talking. We pause the movie to go eat dinner and we are back in the blink of an eye. We are exhausted buy the end of the movie. We resort to our last plan and get out Monopoly. We never make it to the end of the game but we play anyways. We sit there for an hour before you notice a rainbow. We admire for a bit until we get bored. Now what? We did everything on our "list." Then a thought strikes me. Baking. We get your baking supplies and get to making chocolate chip cookies. We make a huge mess and apologize to your mom. Once the cookies are done we head to your room with them and endulge ourselves in the chocolatey goodness. We put another movie and slowly dally asleep on your couch. Before we know it, it's morning and I have to go. I pack my bags thank you and your mom and get into my car. Once I got home I crashed onto my bed and fell asleep like there was no tomorrow.
