The week passes by quickly. It is Sunday and Jay is gonna come to my place so that we can begin with the project. At 1:02 pm, the doorbell ring. I must say, he is quite punctual. I open the door and let him. We go upstairs to my room and sit down on my desk. I pull out my laptop and we start working.

The project is about an Indian author and his life. We have to chosen Ruskin Bond. We have to work and make a project report on his life, work, family and childhood. Working on the project has never been such fun. I'm getting to know so much about him and oh isn't that just lovely?

It is quarter to five right now. We really did so much work and now we are very hungry. We head down to the kitchen to see if something was there. My mum had a kitty party to attend so the whole house was to us. We searched but found nothing that was ready to be eaten. Jay suggests that we make something on our own. I could not let him work! He is a guest. But he insisted and we finally settled on him making pasta and I making my signature cold coffee. We took out all the ingredients which were needed it and started working.

I put milk in the container and blend for a few seconds. Then I put some coffee cocoa powder and drinking chocolate powder in it and blend again. The rich aroma of coffee spreads in the whole kitchen. I put some crushed ice along with chocolate syrup and blend again. Lastly, I add chunks of chocolate and give it a final mix.

Switching off the hand blender, I pour the cold coffee in the mason jars lined with chocolate syrup, crushed ice and dark chocolate.

Pat! Pat! Pat! Good Work Arjun. I look away at Jay who is mixing the vegetables and pasta. I just hope it's edible. Will he cook it nicely?

After a while, Jay finishes off puts the pasta in the plates. We move to the dining table to eat and drink. As I put the first bite in my mouth, my taste buds go wild. This is so delicious. I have never had such a tasty pasta in my whole life. This guy sure has got some good culinary skills. We finish off eating by 6:30. Jay gets up and says that it's time and he must go. He walks up to mu room to grab his things while I put the plates and jars in the sink. Jay, before leaving, says that I should visit his home someday. We agree on continuing the project on Wednesday at his place.

I bid him Goodbye and close the door. Days passed and months too. I've become good friends with Jay over the project. Ana, the new girl, is a really nice person. She found us very warm and welcoming. She also agreed on teaching me French someday.

That Wednesday me and Jayy went to his place after school. He had a room bigger than mine, probably because he shared it with elder sister. His home wasn't big one because they live there on rent. It was a 2 BHK but a lot more comfy. Maybe, the comfort came in because I felt a sense of belongingness there, the sense of family. My family was a happy family too but that emptiness still lingered because I did not have any siblings. Jay came to me more as a younger brother than a friend.

We changed and went for lunch. His mother served us food with utmost love and care. She is  such a woman lovely lady. She took care of me so nicely. His sister made us brownie with ice cream. It was a great afternoon. Later, both of us went to work on the project.

Me and Jay hangout almost everyday now, at the community centre. We have also started going to the other parts of the city. It is like me showing him around. Its fun to be around him. He is jolly person by nature, which I have realised now.

It has only been four months that I've met them, but the two of them have become important and inseparable part of my life.

I never want to let them go.
