He really should not have done that.
I know that the world doesn't always revolve around me but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed by his action, it's bothering my mind.
Or maybe...I'm just a little exaggerating and this stuff is pretty normal for him.
As the car stops, I grab everything and quickly fling the car's door open before getting out of it. "Thank you."
"How can I make it up to you?" Sungjin asks, eyes not leaving mine. I don't even know if he's sincere or not anymore, I can't tell.
"Nothing. I'm tired." With that, I close the door.
...
First day of exams, done and I've survived. Though, I'm not sure with some of my answers and my mind kept wandering off to places, thinking about something else.
"I'm home," I say calmly from the outside as I enter the door, leading to the living room. My mom who's just putting something on the kitchen counter turns her attention to me.
"You left your shopping bags on the sofa yesterday. Why didn't you take those upstairs?"
"Ah..." I stop midway. "I forgot to tell, those are for you and dad."
"And you didn't buy anything for you?"
"Well, I brought a lot of...food."
She sighs and I just continue to walk upstairs. It's not like there weren't anything interesting enough, it's just that I'm more into buying stuff for others if I see something that fits them. However, I always have a hard time choosing for my own.
In conclusion; I just suck at dressing myself.
Feeling drained, I climb up the bed right away and lay down comfortably, staring at the ceiling as my thoughts start to consume me until my phone decides to vibrate. I'm too lazy to take it even though it's right beside, so I just turn my head to the left, peeking at the screen. I stare at it for three good seconds then sigh.
It's from him.
I end up closing my eyes.
...
No one's POV.
"Are you done?"
"Yeah." Sungjin takes off his headset and as soon as he puts it on the desk, he proceeds to ruffle his hair slightly in frustration. He just can't concentrate on his work. He knows he messed up big time yesterday, especially when his mind starts to play the image of Hyeju's disappointed expression. And what makes it even worse is that she doesn't even reply to any of his texts.
"You look so dejected. What's wrong?" His friend asks, sipping on his cola.
Sungjin grabs his stuff before standing up from his seat. "Nothing's wrong. Did you by any chance exchange phone numbers with Hyeju?"
"Well, I gave her mine but she didn't..."
He pauses for a brief moment before saying, "that's nice to hear then." There's a sudden spark of relief in his eyes. Satisfied, he steps out of the room, leaving his friend clueless.
...
A few days later — Hyeju's POV.
The days passed by quickly but also stressing the hell out of me. Thankfully, I only have a day left until the exams are over, since it's already Wednesday. Honestly, I don't think I've ever studied this hard and I feel like I'm starting to lose my mind.
