Unexpected

26: Camp Out Part 1

All six of them headed outside. Bryant was in charge of setting up the fire and Emma and Karli made sure that the sleeping bags, lanterns, string lights, flashlight, pillows, blankets, and snacks were all set up in the tent. Ethan went and turned on the new multi-colored house lights while Grayson lit up the pool and turned on some music. James quickly cleaned the dishes and headed outside. They all then gathered in a circle with their chairs around the fire.

Grayson: This is awesome you guys. Thanks so much for helping out.

Bryant: Of course! We are going to have mucho fun!

The circle consisted of Ethan sitting next to James, Emma sitting next to Bryant, and Karli sitting next to Grayson. Karli had planned a few games to play throughout the night.

Karli: So do you guys want to play one of the games I had planned for right now before we swim?

Ethan: Sure!

Emma: Yeah that sounds fun.

Karli: Ok so we are going to play Truth or Dare first.

Grayson: Oooo this is gonna be fun.

Emma: Can I ask first?!?!

Karli: Yeah go ahead!

Emma: Ok, Karli. Truth or dare?

Karli: I go bold first. Dare.

Emma: I dare you to go into the tent with Gray alone for 7 minutes.

Grayson: I thought this was Karli's dare.

Ethan: Oh come on, don't act like you don't want to.

Grayson and Karli both walked toward the tent while the others began a new conversation. Grayson held the tent "door" open for Karli as she walked inside. Emma yelled over.

Emma: I'm setting the time now!

Gray and Karli sat there for a minute not really knowing what to say but Karli had to break the ice.

Karli: So... I'm not sure if people tell you this a lot but, I think you're pretty amazing.

Grayson: Awe thanks, sweetie. I'm not sure if people tell you this a lot but I think you are very unique and special. Did I mention gorgeous?!?!

Karli: Ahh you're making me blush.

Grayson: Haha. I know things seem like they are going a little fast right now and keeping "us" a secret is going to be hard but we can do this if we stay strong.

Karli: Of course. Ugh, you get so cute when you are trying to motivate me.

Grayson: Oh get over here.

They both came close to each other. Grayson lightly grabbed Karli's face and gazed into her brown eyes. The sun came in through the roof opening just as it was setting, enough to illuminate her face.

Grayson: Damn, are you beautiful or what?

He slowly pulled her face closer to his until their noses touched and he jokingly rubbed his nose against hers as a puppy would. Then he leaned in for a soft kiss. She leaned in. He moved his hands so that he was hugging her and she tightly embraced him as well. Then, the separated to breath and quickly came back together but this time laid down on their sleeping bags.

Emma yelled that there were 3 minutes left, so they stopped to catch their breath. Gray laid down first and Karli followed resting her head on his chest. They cuddled together until Bryant, James, Emma, and Ethan unzipped the tent door to find them dozing off against each other.
