Scott pulled into the Beacon Hills High School parking lot. Flashing lights surrounded the area and Scott was trying his best to not assume the worst of the situation. He looked at Allison after putting his car in park. "I'm not sure what is happening" he stated the obvious. How could he know?
The male got out of the car and shut the door. He took hesitant steps toward what sounded like Stiles crying. Heads appeared and many eyes were turned to look at him. Allison got out of the car slowly and walked up behind Scott. Shocked expressions surfaced on his friends' faces as they saw Allison appear behind him. They all already had tear-filled eyes and none of them even moved towards his now resurrected ex-girlfriend. "What the hell happened?" His eyes wondered to Stiles who was on the ground sobbing in his dad's arms. Lydia was nowhere to be found.
Scott heard Stiles saying "she's gone" through his muffled sobs and he knew exactly what that meant. He heard Allison gasp from behind him which caused him to turn and face her. He didn't know what to say. Too many things were happening at once.
No one really recalled how that night ended. They were in too much shock. Somehow, Stiles was brought home, and somehow everyone made it safely to their beds. Except for Lydia. Stiles didn't show up to school for the next few weeks. And no one could get ahold of him. His dad said he was grieving, but he couldn't be grieving forever. The pack worried he would lose himself if went on like that any longer.
Eventually, Scott decided it was time for him to check up on his best friend. After much convincing, the Sherriff let him in. Scott knocked softly on Stiles' door. "I'm not going, dad," he said in a muffled tone. Scott sighed and opened the door. "Stiles..." Scott said. Before he could say anything else, he was cut off by speechlessness. Stiles paced around his room and swerved around the numerous red strings going from wall to wall. "What the hell.." Scott managed to get out. He expected Stiles to be in bed, but it seemed as if he was trying to not only piece together Lydia's death, but also any events that also happened that night. Such as Allison's resurrection and the twins' return. "It's connected, it's all connected, Scott. Allison came back when Lydia died" Scott scoffed. "That may not be true." Stiles looked Scott in the eyes. "If she didn't come back... Lydia would be here." It was clear that he hadn't slept, his eyes looked mad and circles were very dark underneath them. "You need sleep, Stiles."
Scott tried to maintain his temper as he was just trying to understand that Stiles was grieving and in denial. "Noah said we could get her back..." Stiles clenched his jaw and continued to look at Scott and didn't break his gaze. "Noah? Stiles what the hell," Scott backed up beginning to be upset that Stiles had broken contact with everyone but he decided to talk to the boy that was head over heels for Lydia. "Yes, he's a warlock he can bring her back." It was clear to Scott that what was keeping Stiles from losing himself entirely was this fantasy of Lydia being brought back. But even that was making him lose his rationality. "Why is it so far off, Scott? Allison came back." Scott remained silent. "You need to stop." Scott walked towards Stiles' board. The center of it all, a picture of Lydia. "She's gone Stiles, I'm sorry." He reached for Lydia's picture to take it off when Stiles hit his hand. "Allison being alive is why Lydia is dead... and I'm going to fix it." Scott's eyes glowed red for a split moment before he took a breath. "Start thinking straight... What's done is done." He backed off the wall and headed towards Stiles' door. "You have people that care about you, and we all miss Lydia. But you need to learn how to move on." Scott sighed then left Stiles alone in his room.
Stiles did not take Scott's words to mind whatsoever. He was too focused on bringing back the girl he loved. He barely noticed when Scott left. Four days after Lydia was gone, Noah came to Stiles and showed him a spell book, he showed him what was probably used for Allison's revival. The only consequences of that spell was that it needed the sacrifice of someone they loved.
Scott was out of the question because it was clear that the twins were going to need him for whatever plan they had. That left Lydia, a life for a life. In theory, if Noah were to do the spell again and bring Lydia back, the only thing they would have to do was find someone to make that and it'd have to be someone she loved. Stiles pondered for hours on end on who the sacrifice would be. Scott would never let anything happen to Allison, which left him. Before she died Lydia said she loved Stiles and he was willing to use that to bring her back.
