"How is that boy doing?"

"Do you mean Donghyuck, dad?"

"Yeah, is he okay?"

Mark smiled softly before nodding. "Yeah, his situation at home got better. He's doing good"

"Good. You should invite him over for dinner again sometime"

Mark chuckled and nodded before cleaning the table. He never told his dad he was gay. His mom knew. He told her everything. She would've loved to hear about Donghyuck, even if Mark couldn't really call him his boyfriend. His mother would already have gotten excited knowing that he has someone he likes. He sighed softly before looking over at his dad. His dad was a good man, Mark just never got the chance to get close to him. The elder was always busy with his job, taking on new cases and working day and night to solve them. Mark knew he should give him a chance.

"Dad..?"

"What's it?" The elder looked up from his phone when Mark sat down in front of him.

"I need to tell you something"

"What may that be?"

"Well, I.. uh, you know. Donghyuck.." The simple word couldn't leave his mouth. Gay. He was gay for fuck's sake and didn't have the balls to tell his father.

"Is he your boyfriend?" Mark looked up with a shocked expression on his face. He saw his father kindly smiling at him and sighed with relief.

"Uhm, no.. I just like him" he whispered softly and saw his dad not.

"Good. I'm sure he likes you too" the man got up from his chair. "I need to get going. Good luck at your soccer practice"

Before the man left Mark got his attention. "Dad? Is it okay if he comes tonight?" A simple nod answered his question and the boy immediately ran upstairs to grab his bag. After his soccer practice he would pick up Donghyuck and go home.

When the practice was finished Mark was met with a pleasant surprise. The tan boy was standing on the sideline and gently waved when Mark finally looked in his direction. The elder jogged over to him and laughed softly.

"How did you get here?"

"My mom brought me"

The younger quickly pecked his lips and left Mark longing for more.

"I need to get changed. I'll see you in a minute"

He left towards the changing room to quickly take a shower and get a change of clothes. Once outside again he took the younger's hand and started walking to his car. When a police car drove by both of them tended up.

"How are things at home?" Mark asked softly.

"It's fine. My mom is just wondering if he ran away or something. I'm surprised nobody found him yet, it's been three days. I think she's gonna report him as missing today but it's difficult because he's an adult and the whole procedure is different with adults or something"

Mark nodded and helped Donghyuck into the car. It was almost as if he had deleted that day out of his memory. He knew it happened but he didn't remember how. Not a single piece of information was left in his mind. He let out a soft sigh and just started driving home. Overthinking it wasn't going to help him.

"I told my dad"

"What?"

"That I'm gay"

"Oh! How did he react?"

"He seems cool with it. He wanted you to come over for dinner again so that's why I asked you today"

He saw the younger nod and smile softly. It wasn't the only reason why Mark wanted him to come tonight. He wants to ask Donghyuck to be his boyfriend. He would do it tonight while they were watching Star Wars movies. When Mark found out Donghyuck never watched one he forced them into it just like the younger had done with Harry Potter.

Once they arrived at the house not much happened. They played some games and eventually ate dinner when Mark's dad arrived. The elder didn't feel like cooking so they just ordered pizza.

Right now they were engulfed in an awkward silence. They most of the time were quiet while watching movies but Mark's nervous attitude disturbed the peace. He watched as Donghyuck paused the movie and turned to look at him.

"Is something wrong?"

As expected Donghyuck saw right trough him. Mark swallowed the nothingness in his throat before getting up and grabbing a small present from underneath the bed.

"Nothing is wrong, I just-.... just open the freaking present please before I faint"

They both laughed softly and Mark watched as Donghyuck carefully unwrapped the present. In it was a small box that belt a necklace. It was a simple pendant with a date unscripted onto it.

"22-02-19. What is that?" The younger asked softly while looking up at Mark.

"It's the day we met.. do you like it?"

"It's really pretty. Thanks Mark" the younger said while a small blush formed on his cheeks. Mark watched as the tan boy clipped it around his neck. "Why did you give this to me?"

"I uh.. it's just I've never really... met someone? I mean like I've never met someone like you? And.. I like you.. I like you a lot, so I was wondering if you maybe, you know.." Mark looked away embarrassed but looked up once again when he heard a soft giggle coming from Donghyuck.

"Yes, I'll be your boyfriend Mark"
