Chapter 7: Answer

Arnold's pov:

Life is a strange thing. A moment we love what we're doing and the other we want things to stop.

Amarah asked why, as if it was my fault.

or was it? I rolled over my bed and thought about what happened yesterday. How Mike was flirting with another girl behind her back, that's what started it. That's what I couldn't bear. My bestfriend's dick of a boyfriend isn't loyal to her and I let him go so easily?

*Alarm starts beeping*
*8:00 AM*

"Ugh! For fucks sake! I'm late again!"

I breezily get up take a shower and change into a green shirt saying "bitches rule" and wore a blue ripped jeans with white vans.

I text Aiden and Aamarah.
*Yo! Whadup? Let's go to school together*
 
Aamarah texts:
*Um okay I'm near your house anyway*

I text back
*waiting*

Aiden
*k*

I get out of the house and wait on the footpath for Aamarah to arrive and there I saw her dressed in  white oversized shirt, white ripped jeans and white vans and her wavy hair lying all over till her back.

"HOLY COW!" I scream

Aamarah feels embarrased

"So funny he-he. Shut up" she says mockingly and pushes my to walk.

"Well atleast you have your sense of style" i said while while sticking my tongue out.

"Yah guess who's who. I'm the coolest one" she said while looking towards me jokingly.

I notice Aiden and do a knuckle touch with him.

"Hey man. How are you" says Aiden.

"Hey I'm good bro. You okay now?" I winked.

"Fuck off man. I'm not gonna thank you." Aiden said.

I peaked towards Aamarah and she had put on her white headset. I was so damn annoyed by why she had put it on when we three were together after such a long time. And then I remembered Aiden crying like a baby last night in my room saying 'she did it again' 'why does she do it' 'make it stop' and I knew what had happened. I said nothing and kept on walking with them.

All the way we were quiet. When we entered the school Aamarah started to get scared and Aiden and and I both took notice. I was about to hold her hand when Aiden held it and backed my hand away. I was so angered but I kept my cool, to make it worse I saw mike making out with another girl, different than before, and when he saw us Aamarah took off her headset and put it in her bagpack.

"Hey you! That thing's mine. Let go of her and nobody gets hurt" Mike says with his evil grin all over his face.

Before Aamarah or Aiden could say anything back  I punched him in the nose and he fell to the ground.

"Look punk! She is not a thing, do you understand me? If not, I can make you understand better than this"

"Let's go before we get into trouble" says Aiden.

"But he's bleeding! We have to help him!" Aamarah says.

"Oh c'mon! He's not gonna die!" I said in anger.

Aiden dragged her with him and we left for our classes.

Aiden's pov:

"Will meet you in PE" I said quietly.

"Okay" she said softly.

"Aamarah I..."

And the teacher called on her from behind.

"Miss Aamarah! Get in the class"

"I'll wait" I said.

"Okay" she said with a soft smile while blushing.

And she went inside. I just can't stay away from her. It's like I'm constraint to be by her side, no matter what. Agh! Her eyes! Her warm soft hands! I just can't stop thinking about her.

After taking my classes. It was time for PE. I changed into my uniform and got ready to see Aamarah.

"Finally!" I thought to myself.

I went outside the changing area and there she was having a hard time with her laces again. I chuckled and leaned towards her feet. She was sitting on the bench with her leg above it as well. I tied her laces and laughed.

"Shut upppp! It's not that of a big deal" she said while looking towards me in anger.

"Here all done haha"

And she pushed me with her leg slightly and everyone laughed at us cuz she can never tie her laces it's either me or Arnold who does it for her.

Our teacher had to leave and told us not to get out of the court. We sat on the basketball court. The brown polished floor had a clear reflection of us.

"Get up. Let's go" i said

"But sir, zeal told us to stay"

"Agh c'mon" I grab her from her arm and she gets up, walking quietly.

We get under the bleachers and start to talk.

"I wanted to talk to you..." I said.

Aamarah's Pov:

I looked towards him and started speaking.

"Don't... don't do that again. Promise me." He said with the most innocent look in his eyes.

I hugged him and close.

"I won't"

He let go of the hug and cupped my face with his hand. He leaned towards me. My heart was throbbing. I just couldn't make it stop. He brushed his lips with mine and planted a soft kiss on my lips. My cheeks felt so warm I pushed him back.

"Aiden, stop!" I close my eyes shut.

Aiden backs away in embarrassment. He turned away and was about to leave when I grabbed his arm.

"I'm sorry. I'm just scared. Can we take things slow? I want to think about everything" I said to him while hugging him close.

He smiled softly. "Okay, I can wait, no matter how much time you take"
