I follow the kid up to his room in silence, no one daring to speak a word. I follow him upstairs and down a hall, his whole house so bright a happy like. It's like Hoseok lives here, except it's cleaner. We step into a light, spacious room. A single bed in the corner, a giant window on the side, a dresser, connected bathroom, desk with a computer and chair and more.

"Nice room." I mumble before walking over to his bed.

"Please sit." I sort of order him. He quickly walks over and makes himself comfortable on the bed.

"Alright, what's up?" He asks, turning his full attention to me. I take a deep breath, getting a strong smell of vanilla and coca.

"I'm an alpha right?" I start with an obvious question.

"That's a retorical  question right?" He frowns. I give him a look and he raises his hands in surrender. "Yes, you are." He sighs.

"I'm supposed to make my betas and omega feel safe right?" I bite my lip. He frowns again and nods his head.

"Okay um... does it bother you not having an alpha?" I ask, fiddling with my shirt nervously.

"Well, I've been without an alpha for more than ten years. I really excepted to find one and I found you. I'm kind of used not having an alpha." He shrugs after thinking for a minute.

"When you're around me, do you feel safe." I bite my lip.

"Yes." He let's a quick grin escape.

"Do I make you feel wanted?" I raise an eyebrow.

"Yeah." He let's a low, breathy laugh out, looking shyly at the ground.

"What if I were to, say, stop being by you. Stop checking in on you. Stop hovering by you every so often. How would that make you feel?" I cross my arms. He looks at the ceiling for a minute, squinting his brown eyes in concentration then looking back at me.

"I'd feel unwanted, scared, worthless." He purses his lips together.

Shit.

I run an irritated hand through my hair and groan.

"Fuck." I mumble.

"Why? What's wrong?" He frowns as he stands up.

"Hoseok and Yoongi probably feel that way right now. I've been distancing myself from them without really noticing it. I'm not on their backs like Namjoon and Jin are for Taehyung and Jimin. They prabably feel unwanted and scared right now." I panic. This is the last thing I want for my betas let alone boyfriends.

"Hey its okay, don't worry. If you talk to them they'll understand." He walks over to my pacing figure and puts a hand on my bicep.

"How are you so sure?" I whisper.

"Because it's happened to me before. How do you think I ended up here? I had an alpha, he got distant, talked it over later on. But then it happened again, and then he ran away with a new beta. So I ran as well, out here." He explains quietly, looking at his hand on my arm.

"I'm sorry." I pull him in for a hug. He wraps his arms around my shoulders as my arms wrap around his tiny waist.

"Have you been eating?" I quickly change the subject. He tenses up and I frown.

"Y-yeah." He stutters out.

"Don't lie to me." I growl, emitting my alpha hormones off to him. He tenses up more and sighs.

"I haven't been eating." He mumbles into my chest. I hold him tighter.

"Why?"

"I don't like the way I look." He shrugs.
