I awoke with a chill that traveled from my head where my dream had taken place and then left. The chill traveled down my spine, then proceeded to cover my entire body making me shiver. I look over to find my window open. I got out of bed to go close it when I remember, I never opened my window.

I stopped dead in my tracks like the dead night filled to the brim with silence. And the silence stayed. The silence had no need at this place and time, only a feeling. Not an emotion, a physical feeling. One that was at my feet. The ground began to rumble, still silent was the night, yet the rumble seemed up speak, it was a faint call. And as the rumble got more violent, so did the call. I'm my dream, the call was yelling in my ear, and now, in this moment, the call was the rumble beneath my feet that soon traveled up my body and into my head and it was as if I could almost hear it.

I'm here.

It got louder and louder and the rumble got worse and worse. I wanted it to stop, I wanted the ground to stop shaking, the call to stop screaming and I wanted the fame at that was inside of me, to stop being there. But before I had even noticed, it did. The rumble had gone away and everything was still. The scream was silent. And the night was dead one again. It was dead and silent like before my dream and it was silent until only just a few minutes ago. And now, all I wanted, all I needed, was sound.

I took one step, then another, and one more. I inched closer and closer to my window with each step I took. And when I got to my window, I looked out and I saw them. The light of the moon filling them. What were they? They were eyes, eyes just like mine, red, bright, and filled with curiosity. But these eyes were probably 20 times bigger than mine, no, 50 times bigger than mine, they were huge. But they were the same as mine. I felt connected to them. So, I opened my window even more, and I put one foot out onto my rooftop, then the other. I stood on my roof facing the eyes. I slowly lifted my hand up and reached it out as far as I could. And I felt. And now I knew, that the voice calling me and yelling me that it was here, was really here. I felt something cold, but smooth. And I also felt something in my chest, no, in my heart. I felt a rope, pulling me towards this thing as I took steps towards the edge of my roof. I was beginning to see this thing more and more as I neared closer and closer to the edge. And as I stood at the very edge of my roof, I saw it. I saw everything that I saw in my dreams, the enormously large wings, the scaly tail, and now I saw it. The head and body of the last dragon to ever walk the planet. And I realized.

"So your my power." I muttered out loud enough for the dragon, to hear, and feel, and taste, and smell, and see. This dragon was me. And I, was the dragon.
