Strange

About a week had gone by since I started living with the boys. Orion and I were actually settling in well. I'd been cooking meals for the boys. Turns out, boys don't know how to take care of themselves. Shocker. They NEVER sit down and have a proper meal together. So naturally, I made them.

It was Friday night. That meant the weekend was coming. And I had just now realized, nothing bad has happened. And I mean bad as in, people getting killed or, attacks. Nothing. Strange. And that was all I could think for the rest on the day. Just...strange. And things only got stranger when we sat down for dinner.

Everything was silent. The boys were shoving forkfuls of food into their mouths like they'd never eaten before. Once we were finished eating. Georgie tapped my arm and I turned to face him.

"Hey."

"Hey Georgie."

"Hey um Zahri," Georgie began, using the nickname I had developed, "c-can we talk, like...privately?" Georgie asked shyly.

"Oh, sure. Let me clean the dishes and I'll meet you in your room ok?" I responded in a soft caring voice. I was a bit confused but, oh well.

So I did as I said I would and cleaned the dishes, and then headed to Georgie's room. I lightly knocked on the door, then opened it.

"Hey." I said.

"Hey, come in." He said, so I did.

I shut the door then walked over to Georgie, sitting on his bed, next to him.

"Look," he began. "I've never really had anyone that I feel like I could talk to about this. But now your here and you seem really sweet and I just....I like devan." Georgie explained.

"I like devan too, he's a really nice guy." I replied.

"No I mean, I like like devan." He said.

"Oh." I said, "well that's perfectly ok. As a matter of fact, it's adorable."

Georgie Gabe me a bright smile, and from then on we talked all night about it, until eventually, I fell asleep in Georgie's bed. And I drifted of into the vast ocean of sleep, with the hope of being great friends with Georgie.
