"I can't believe Tom isn't coming for my birthday." Indigo sighed. Tom was "so busy" with filming Infinity War, he claimed he couldn't come to the party at Zendaya's house.
But, that was literally a complete lie. Zendaya had to play along, and act like he "wasn't coming." "Yeah, what a bummer."
"Not helping, Z!" She crossed her arms.
"Hush! This is gonna be the best birthday ever." Zendaya assured her. It definitely was going to be, Indigo just didn't know it yet.
"I guess." Indigo shrugged.
"Trust me, Indie. It's gonna be great." She said.
Now Indigo was asking some important stuff. Her heart was still with Zendiego, so she just had to know if there was finally going to be a chance for them to be in the same room again. "You invited my dad and Diego, right?"
"Sadly, yes." Zendaya replied with a frown on her face.
"Did you talk to him?" Indigo asked, hoping the answer was yes, which it wasn't.
"No, I let Laura do that." She smirked.
"Dammit." Indigo cursed to herself. "I was hoping you'd actually have a conversation with him."
"It's already bad enough he's going. I'm gonna have to avoid him the entire time." Zendaya sighed. As much as she didn't want Diego to be there, she couldn't just not invite him. That was Indigo's brother, and it would hurt Indigo if he wasn't invited over a petty breakup.
"Are you sure about that?" She raised an eyebrow.
"Yes!" Zendaya quickly answered. Maybe too quickly.
Indigo then checked her phone to see the time, and she realized she had to be at Hairspray rehearsals in 30 minutes. "Shit, I gotta go to rehearsals."
"Break a leg! Wait, not literally-"
