047. you matter to me

After Diego walked back down to the ceremony, Tom and Indigo were seriously freaking out. "Propose? Is he serious?"

"I mean, it's Diego we're talking about." Tom shrugged. Come on, Diego was a pretty crazy guy. He would do anything for anything, so was a potential proposal really surprising? Kind of, but at the same time not really.

"Still, this is nuts! Why would he buy a fucking ring?" Indigo questioned, practically fuming that her brother wouldn't tell her.

"I thought he bought a necklace, not a ring!" He exclaimed. When Tom went out with Diego the other day, it was for Diego to buy Zendaya a necklace. Who would've thought that he would sneakily buy a ring instead?

"You knew about this?" She turned to him in shock. Was there something else Tom was hiding?

"I know a lot of things that your brother didn't want me to tell you." Tom admitted. Indigo raised an eyebrow at him, wondering what these secrets were. "Like what?"

"Like that Zendaya kissed Diego at New Years and that's why she left so suddenly like that." He blurted, then immediately covered his mouth after.

"What?"

"Please don't kill me." Tom begged. Indigo wasn't gonna kill him, no matter how shocked and mad she was that she didn't know this sooner.

"I'm not gonna kill you!" She exclaimed. Indigo then grabbed Tom's hand, pulling him out of their hiding spot, which made him concerned.

"Why are you grabbing my hand like that?" Tom asked in fear.

"We got one last thing to do." Indigo replied and began to go down the stairs, still holding onto Tom's hand.

"Should I be scared?"

"Maybe."

The wedding was supposed to happen right about now, but there was no sign of either Tom or Indigo, which didn't seem good to all of the guests.

Papa Rivera stood waiting, prepared to send his daughter off, but he too grew worried that something was wrong. He wasn't getting any younger, and time was being wasted just standing there.

"Where's Tom? Shouldn't he be out by now?" Zendaya whispered to Jenny. They were all waiting to walk down the aisle, but the groom was nowhere to be seen.

"I swear if he pulled an Indie-"

"Hello, everyone!" Tom and Indigo emerged on the scene, and everyone turned in a shock to see them standing together. "Huh?"

"You're probably very confused as to why we're not walking out separately, so we'll tell you. We're not getting married." The guests all gasp after hearing the bombshell. They all showed up for a wedding, and it was clearly a waste of time.

Papa Rivera ran up to his daughter, wondering why she just said that she wasn't getting married. "Blue, what the hell are you talking about?"

"Yeah, Tom, what is she talking about?" Nikki and Dom walked up to them, and mainly Nikki was the one with the questions.
