Caroline's POV

"I wasn't expecting that," I said in utter shock as Alaric nodded at me. "We should probably go look for Josie so we could talk to her," I added

"Let's give her a few hours to calm down, until then we should get back to looking into the lead on the merge," Alaric suggested as he reopened his book. "I don't understand why Josie would ever think being with Hope would be safe, she knows that the Mikaelson have a bad reputation." Alaric stated as we both started looking through some books.

"It's obvious we sheltered her to much that was how I met Klaus," I mumbled.

After about an hour of searching I decided to go to Josie's room to talk to her. When I got to her room I walked in to only see Lizzie in there.

"Lizzie do you know where Josie is?" I questioned.

"She's probably in Hope's room," Lizzie replied before drifting back off to sleep.

When I got to Hope's room I quietly knocked a few times but no one answered so I opened the door a crack to see inside. When I looked inside I saw Hope with her arms wrapped around Josie. She looked so safe and happy with Hope. I stood there for a minute watching my daughter before I went back to Alaric's office.

Hope's POV

I woke up the next morning to see Josie still asleep. I laid there for a few minutes just watching her sleep until she woke up.

"Morning," Josie whispered half asleep.

"Morning," I replied back kissing her forehead.

"I have classes in an hour," Josie mumbled as she got up.

"Yeah me too," I added as we both started getting ready. Once when we were both ready we had about twenty minutes till class so we sat on my bed and talked.

"What do you think my parents are going to do about us seeing each other." Josie questioned in a sad tone.

"I don't know," I mumbled rubbing her hand to comfort her.

"I feel like my parents will come around to it but Lizzie, she will eventually if not ever accept you," Josie said laying her head on my shoulder.

We both sat there in silence for the last five minutes before we parted to go to our classes.

Josie's POV

I was walking to my first class when my mom stopped me and brought me to my dads office.

"Where's dad at," I questioned.

"He had some stuff he had to do but I wanted to talk to you," Caroline said as we both sat down. "Josie I'm not mad at you and I'm sorry about the way I reacted yesterday," she apologized.

"Thank you mom," I said.

"I was wrong when I said that Hope was dangerous, she seems really protective over you." My mom added.

"Yeah she is," I chuckled.

"You should probably get to class," Caroline suggested as she gave me a hug.
