Spyro's pov

I flew down the stairs and slid across the floor when I landed. I hit the door but instantly recovered. It had been a few weeks since Neve was injured and I was excited.

I ran over to the couch and tapped her shoulder. She opened her eyes to look at me. "Morning. How are you feeling?" I asked, sitting down. Neve sat up, stretching her wings and giving a yawn. "Way better thab I have been. My arm doesn't hurt anymore" she replied.

"Great. I have something to tell you" I explained, still excited. "What?" she asked. "I'm going to train you so you can get stronger" I explained. "You forgot to add so that no one has to save me anymore" Neve explained

"No. That's not the reason. It's just that others don't think your capable of becoming a Skylander and I want to prove them wrong. We're the same after all" I explained, offering my claw for a high five. Neve looked at it for a second before returning the high five

"Alright. So how about we start" I suggested. "Now?" Neve asked, looking surprised. "Better we start now rather then later" I told her. I took Neve to the training area and stood in the middle. "Why don't we start by fighting me" I suggested, spreading my wings. "I couldn't fight you. Your my friend" she explained.

"Just try. It will help you improve a lot" I told her. "Alright" she responded. I backed up a little, putting some distance between us. When I was sure that Neve was ready, I ran at her, horns in front.

Neve, instead of attacking back, ducked down, claws over her head. I quickly stopped running and tried to use my claws to stop myself going further forward but I didn't do it in time and hit into Neve, both of us laying on the ground with me on top of her.

I shook my head and looked down. "Neve. What was that about?" I asked, more sadd then angry. "I'm sorry. I panicked. Maybe I'm not cut out to be a Skylander" she explained, a bit of black smoke coming from her mouth.

I quickly grabbed her shoulders, making her look at me. "Don't say something like that. You can be a Skylander. You just need to practise" I told her. She looked down at the ground.

"Maybe head on training was too much for your first try. How about we work on target practise. That could help and while we're at it, we should work on your confidence" I explained. "I have confidence" Neve told me, straighting her back.

"Not self confidence. Now let's get set up" I told her, getting some targets set up for Neve. She joined in to help.
