Darkness. That was all I knew except for squeaking from my left and right. I wiggled closer to mother in hope for food, but I just realised mother was gone. We were alone again, she always leaves but not for long. My sister to my left squeaked for mother and some of my other siblings joined in, but not me I hardly ever made a peep unless I had to. I've heard mother talking * STORM ROCKS (WarriorCat81601)*, I'm sure to another mouse but you never know.
I think I'll open my eyes now, to see what I'm up against. The world and me...
