I blinked my eyes open very slowly, wow it's so bright! I can see my family clearly now and they are all different colors there's black, white, brown, and some different colors mixed. I looked down at my fur and noticed I'm the only grey mouse here. "Mother!" I squeaked loudly, or at least tried to but it was more like a whisper in my ears. My siblings chimed in and she still wasn't coming. I lifted myself to my feet, and stumbled out of the soft, warm nest. I came to a hole and went through "Wow, this place is huge! I gasped in amazement. I saw a shape not too far away so I scampered towards it, for it could be mother. It was mother indeed... in a rectangular thing on the floor she looked stuck. "Mother?" I asked uncertain. "Were hungry and we all need you to come back to the nest now." I nudged her with my nose and her body felt cold to the touch. "Mother your freezing!" "Come on! Let's go back to the nest." I urged her to get up but she never stirred. Then I realized I didn't hear the soft comforting breaths escape her mouth.
