Chapter 42

One brunette and three blonde girls burst through the door followed by Jay. They went straight to Louis, all four of them jumping on him calling his name. He laughed as he hugged them in turn.

Once they'd calmed down he looked at me and smiled. 'Girls, this is Aria. Aria, this is Lottie, Felicity, Daisy and Pheobe.' They looked at me and shyly said hi. I smiled at them all and said hello.

Mark came in with our drink and I took mine off of him, grateful to have something in my hands so I didn't sit there spinning the ring round on my finger with nerves.

'So Aria,' Mark began, 'What is it you're doing in university?' He sat down on the last free sofa and Jay followed him.

'Law. It's pretty stressful if I'm honest.' I took a sip from my coffee and nearly burnt my mouth. Smooth Aria, I thought.

We'd been chatting about my degree and their jobs for a while when Daisy spoke.

'Mum, can Aria take us to the movies?' She asked and Jay smiled.

'Why don't you ask Aria.' She replied.

Louis squeezed my hand and I looked at him for help. I didn't know what the plans were for the rest of the day. I didn't want to say yes and then mess everything up.

'We can if you want.' Louis said low enough so only I could hear. 'You don't have to.'

Daisy was sitting on her mum's lap, trying to convince her to ask for her because she was too shy.

'No, it's fine, as long as you come with me.' I said to Louis.

He chuckled quietly. 'Of course.' He then looked at his sister and said 'we'll take you. What do you want to see?' She squealed with excitement and ran to me. It's the first time they'd really acknowledged me. They were all a bit shy, but Daisy hugged me like we'd known each other for years.

'Thanks' Jay said. 'They've been desperate to go for ages but wanted to wait to go with Louis.'

'It's not a problem.' I smiled.

Louis and I stood up as the twins rushed off to get their shoes, chatting excitedly about the films in the cinema. Lottie and Felicity grinned at me and went to get their shoes as well.

'Mum, don't cook; I'll take us out for tea, my treat.'

'Oh Louis, such a good boy!' She laughed, pulling him in for a hug.

Louis marched the girls out of the house. His car wasn't big enough to take 6 people, so he swapped keys with his mum. I was grabbing my handbag and sunglasses out of Louis' car when I heard a gasp. I turned around to see Lottie staring at my hands. I looked down and realised she was looking at my bag.

'Is that Prada?' She asked.

'Yeah.' I held it out to her so she could have a look.

'It's beautiful.' She sighed, looking at it closely. 'When did you get it?'

'About a year ago. I fell in love with it and saved up for months to get it! It was the greatest day ever going into the shop to get it.'

'I bet it was. Where do you work?' She said reluctantly handed it back to me.

'Starbucks.' I answered as we walked over to the car. Louis was already in the driver's seat, adjusting it so it was in the right position for him.

'That's so cool! You have like, the coolest life.' She sighed as she swung the door open and climbed in next to Felicity and the twins.

I got into the passenger seat next to Louis and we pulled out of the drive. I turned around as much as I could in my seat and looked at the girls in the back.

'What are we going to watch?' I asked.

They all spoke at once, each naming a different film that was out. Louis laughed over the chatting and arguing in the back and patted my knee. I turned to face him.

'That response means we can decide. They can't come to an agreement so we get to do it for them!'
