This was going to be hard. This was going to suck and Gavin wasn't going to know what to do, because he was so close to meeting Mr. Mystery Dream Machine for the first time ever. The strange man who he had been seeing in his dreams, forgetting about, and then suddenly remembering again.

He felt lucky to even have this random-ass girl with him, because she made him feel somewhat better about how stressful this was going to be. And the way her hand gently lay on his shoulder and the way she murmured softly 'it's gonna be okay, man' made him feel ten times better.

Beck was friendly. She was a sweet young lady who just wanted to fit in and do her job, and this dream man wasn't helping her fulfill her own dreams.

This man sounded like an ass, actually. He didn't sound all that great to be honest. Sounded like someone Gavin wouldn't like. He stared at the doors of the precinct as Beck removed her hand from his shoulder to open the door for him.

Gavin stepped through, eyes instantly landing on the lady at the front desk. She stared right back at him with a shocked expression and pursed her lips together, quietly scanning over him.
"Reed... what are you doing here?" She asked, but before he could answer, Beck spoke up.

"Visiting, I'm checking in and bringing him along. We're actually looking for Conan. He still here?" She sounded so casual around the other lady, maybe even close to her.

"Yes, he's here. Charging with the other androids who stay overnight." She explained, sounding a little more professional than Beck.

"Oo, is Connor here too?" Beck asked with a grin. "I haven't seen him since he left for that one case. Or Hank. Are they here too? I'm sure they'd love to see Reed." She glanced over her shoulder at Gavin, who froze up for a moment before waving at the lady.

"Hank's shift ended, he went home. Connor followed, of course. Never really goes anywhere without the lieutenant." She shrugged and waved them off. "Go along Then."

Beck grabbed Gavin's hand and hurried away so she could bring Gavin to the offices, not even giving the male enough time to get a good look around, or even react to being practically dragged away.
She stopped at Gavin's old desk- no, her desk, and told him to stay. Then, she walked away to a row of sleeping androids.

Or, what looked like sleeping androids. Gavin didn't know much about these machines if he was being completely honest. He wasn't an expert, that was for sure. At least he knew they weren't alive.

Beck stopped in front of one of the taller androids. He was frowning, his brows were furrowed, and he held his hands behind his back. He looked exactly like the man Gavin had seen in his dreams, only angrier and sadder. A mix of both.

The girl tapped him on the cheek with one of her sharp nails, which were really more like claws. "Conan!" She whisper shouted, not wanting to grab the attention of any of the other 'sleeping' droids. "Hey!"

Conan's LED swirled to red, and he curled his lip as if he was annoyed or disgusted. He didn't say a word as Beck continuously tapped his cheek over and over in the same spot. "Conan! Emergency!"

"Fuck off, my shift's over." He finally said, opening his eyes and glaring right down at her. "Ask someone else for help if you need it so badly."
