The Rebound

3~ The Skate Park

Cassie and Jamie arrive at the skatepark. Jamie skates, Cassie doesn't, but anything is better than school. Luke is at school, and she doesn't want to be around him right now.

Jamie skates into the bowl and Cassie sits on the side, watching. There's only about five boys in the park and Cassie was the only girl.

She pulled out her phone in lack of better things to do and was going through her tumblr. She didn't know how long shed been on her phone until it ran out of battery. She sighed and put it down, deciding to give Jamie five more min ties before she was going to leave.

She lied down and covered her eyes with her fore-arm.

"Fuck" she woke up to a boy laying on top of her. "oh man I'm sorry, lost control of my bike" the stranger said getting off of her. He stood up, reaching a hand to give her help, she took his hand and finally got a good look at him.

The boy had brown eyes, and brown shaggy hair, wearing a snapback. "No problem" she smiled and he smiled back. "Have I seen you before you look familiar" Cassie asked dusting herself off. "Yeah, I go to your school, I'm, ah, I'm one of Luke's friends" he scratched his neck awkwardly. "Oh" Cassie's smile faded slightly, "Sorry again, about squashing you" the boy offers, "Yeah, it's alright" Cassie walks past him and tells Jamie she wants to leave. Jamie does a fist bump with one of those other people, and as Cassie starts walking away, the brown eyed boy walked over to Jamie and whispered in his ear "just tell her I'm sorry" and Jamie nodded and ran after his friend.

Cassie knew people were treating her like a porcelain doll. She didn't mind all that much, but sometimes it got on her nerves. She needed to stop showing everyone that she wasn't ok, and do something about it.
