She twirled a smooth peach colored sea-shell clam wristlet she received from Felix and Chan as a farewell gift for her. The shell glimmered in the sun rays to hues of blues, red and a pink undertone mostly from the natural color of the sea-shell.
They have been on the sea for the past day ever since they left early in the afternoon and now Y/n did not know what else to do after she was done gawking at her fancy gift from friends she had to visit one day if she can.
She wondered if her father would know anything and other islands in this vast ocean so they can contact more people outside their home, but knowing how this new world is because of the precious peoples actions; it is best that the humans around the world, living on islands or larger chunks of land like the land called in Oceania should not contact with one another.
The fewer people there are, the less chance of conflict and the less chance of a war happening that would eventually ruin this already blemished world.
So talking to her father about what lurks outside the sea is not the question for as he would get angry at her for triggering memories of her mother and of course, her getting lost at sea with a bunch of "sea-thugs" as her father names the pirates.
As for the pirates, they were on usual with their daily routines on the ship. Jongho keeping check of the ship, Wooyoung and Yeosang adjusting the ropes but not doing much as it is not much for them to do.
The only one that was doing the most was, San looking ut on the vast sea with a serious stone cold look on his face. He looked really intimidating when he did not flash her a mischevious smile as always or make funny statements with his best friend."
"Its a beautiful day isn't it?"
Y/N glanced up from where she was perched on the railing of the ship to see the Captain walk to the top part of the ship, where San was navigating the ship. The remark was mostly made towards her as he did not want to bother the busy navigator.
"The sun is beaming, the sky is clear but I feel kinda chilly."
"You're right it is kinda of drafty today," he said, adjusting his long sleeve white dress shirt with ruffles at sleeves.
She could see a butt of the gun sticking out of his waist gun holster.
"That chill you are feeling is an early sign of a windstorm coming our way," San said to them without turning his head to them.
Captain huffed. "How bad do you think the storm will be?"
"Judging by the wind, it should not be that bad, sir."
"Okay, carry on."
Y/n watched Hongjoong stand beside her, gazing at the depths of the blue horizon, the sun gently almost going to settle underwater in a few hours from now.
