Chapter 7

-Alexis's POV-

I woke up with Luke pacing back and forth in my room," babe, you okay?" I asked.

" I'm fine I just don't feel good, I don't know what to do" Luke said stopping and placing his hands on his knees.

"Well first off, lay down, i'll be right back" I said getting up to get the thermometer.

I came back to find Luke laying in the bed, I stuck the thermometer in his mouth, he looked up at me with his blue eyes,"stop being adorable, I'm your nurse" I said rubbing one finger up and down his chest giggling.

" That tickles" he said with the thermometer in his mouth.

I pulled the thermometer out, it read '102 degrees' ," baby, your running a huge fever" I said.

" I don't feel good at all" Luke said holding his stomach.

"How about I get you a wet cloth to lay on your head, and then I run to the store and get you some Sierra mist , soups and crackers?" I asked.

" Sounds good" Luke said .

" Alright , let me put pants on first" I put a pair of yoga pants on and then got Luke a wet cloth," here you go baby" I said folding it once placing it on his head.

" Thank you baby" Luke said, he grabbed my hand,"thank you for taking care of me, you know you don't have to"

" I want to help you baby, you don't look like you fell good, I want to make you feel better" I said.

" Thank you baby" Luke said smiling up at me.

" Alright baby, I'm going to be right back and I promise it won't be long" I turned the tv on and handed him the remote.

I got in my car and took off to the store, I drove as fast as I could. I got to the store and went to the soup aisle, I grabbed 5 cans of chicken soup and 5 cans of chicken noodle soup, I grabbed a box of crackers and 3, 2-liter Sierra mist, I walked to the register and placed everything up there.

- a little bit later-

I got home and put the groceries up, I set a pot on the stove and walked to my room," hey baby, I got you some stuff, are you hungry?"

" Yeah, but I'm afraid I'll throw up" Luke said looking over at me.

" As long as you eat and drink slowly and you don't bounce around you'll be fine, there is chicken soup or chicken noodle soup" I said walking over to him.

" Uh, chicken noodle soup please" Luke said.

" Okay baby" I said.

I started fixing his soup, as his soup was heating up I made him a cup of Sierra mist with a lid, I grabbed his soup ,some crackers and his drink and placed it on a tray,I made my way slowly to my room,"here ya go baby" I said placing the tray over his lap.

" Thank you so much baby" Luke said smiling up at me.

" Anything for you sweetheart" I said smiling back.

" I forgot about school today" Luke said sipping on his soup.

" That's okay, you need to be taken care of first" I said ,gently climbing on the bed beside him.

" Don't come up here baby, then you'll get sick" Luke said.

" I'll be fine, I want to be with you and make you feel better" I said.

" That's sweet, but seriously don't let me get you sick" Luke said eating.

" Okay" I said.

We sat there watching tv," are you done?" I asked.

" Yeah, I hate you have to do everything for me, it's feels like your my maid haha" Luke said.

" I don't mind, whatever you need I'll get it or do it for you" I said getting up to take his stuff, I dumped the rest of his soup in the trash and put the crackers up, I fixed him a new glass of Sierra mist.

" Thank you sweetheart" Luke said.

" Your welcome " I said.

" Do you want me to re-wet your cloth?"I asked.

" If you don't mind" Luke said.

I re-wetted his cloth, I laid it back over his head and grabbed the thermometer," I'm going to check it to see where it's at now" I said.

" Okay" Luke said opening his mouth, I stuck it in his mouth, it beeped and I pulled it out , it read '100 degrees'

"It's gone down, but still bad" I said.

" At least it's gone down" Luke said.

-Luke's POV-

I felt terrible, my stomach was hurting and I felt like I was going to throw up any minute," how long have you been up?" Alexis asked.

" Since five this morning, I woke up with stomach pains, I thought it was going to pass but it didn't" I said.

" Let me get you some medicine" Alexis said getting up.

Alexis came back an handed me some medicine," thank you" I said taking the medicine.

" Baby, if your tired , lay your head back and sleep" Alexis said.

" I'll try but I don't think it will work" I said laying my head back, I could already tell it was going to be a long day.....
