Babies, Babies, and More Babies

"I get to see what we're having today," Seokjin cheers, getting dressed quickly, "you coming?"

Namjoon hums, "I would like to but I have tests to grade," He stands, walking over to his husband, "You coming to counseling after?"

"Me and Seonghwa both have an appointment today, we'll be there as soon as we can," Seokjin nods, "I feel like it's helping some? Don't you?"

"I've noticed a change in your behavior yes, you even accepted your brother which I didn't know who that was yesterday," Namjoon hums, "So what's going on with him?"

"Today we're just seeing how far along he is and the doctor is going to be more descriptive of his options. If I'm not mistaken, he's probably going to see about getting an abortion," Seokjin sighs, "He's almost done with nursing school, but once he gets done he's gotta work at a hospital or a doctor's office to get some experience under his belt before he goes back for the pediatric field. Which, since he just now found out he's pregnant it may be July before he has the baby if he decides to keep it and by early May he'll be graduated."

"Today, just let him decide what he wants to do. Don't try to influence him on a decision, it's his baby let him decide what to do."

"I will," Seokjin kisses Namjoon, it was shy at first before he pulls away and smiles timidly, "Any idea on what our little sunshine is?"

"Hmmmm," Namjoon sighs, "Boy."

"I think it's a boy too," Seokjin shrugs, "We'll see though."

"Let me know how everything goes," Namjoon pulls away, but kisses his husband's cheek before leaving, "Love you."

Seokjin's heart flutters as he smiles, "Love you too."

"When did you find out you were pregnant Mr. Park?" The doctor asks, getting the urine sample results organized.

"About two weeks ago? I thought I was just sick from food poisoning, but when I..." Seonghwa bites his lip, not knowing what to say until Seokjin pats his hand.

"You gotta tell them, it's embarrassing but you have to tell him," Seokjin says softly.

Seonghwa nods, swallowing harshly before taking in a deep breath, "The baby's father came back over and we... hooked up again. He like... pinched my nipple and both were really sore to touch which has never happened to me before. I've also been cramping and eating more."

The doctor nods, taking note of this in his computer before looking back at the expecting mother, "The test results from the urine test came back positive, so you are in fact pregnant. Have you ever ovulated?"

"I don't know-" He looks at Seokjin, a little panicked, but his brother smiles.

"Have you been cramping every month for about a week?" Seokjin asks calmly.

"Y-Yeah, it's been that way since I was sixteen," Seonghwa stutters, "Why, is that important? I just thought it was growing pains! I didn't know that's what it meant!"

"Did your mother ever get you tested to see if you were fertile?" The doctor asks, frowning.

"No, because I didn't even fuck guys until here recently," Seonghwa snaps, "Jinnie I can't-"

"Hey, breathe," Seokjin holds his brother's hand, stroking it calmly, "he needs to know these things so we know what we're dealing with in the future."

Seonghwa nods, looking back at the doctor, "I'm sorry. I guess I've been a little hormonal too."

The doctor chuckles, "It's alright. So, since your mother never took you to get tested when you were sixteen you assumed your ovulation cycle was just growing pains. I bet this is all very new and confusing, but your brother here can help you with anything you need. For now, let's focus on the baby. How long ago was it when you conceived?"

Seonghwa shrugs, "Maybe a month and a half? It was late August when I met the father. We have been talking for a while online until he asked me if we could meet. He decided to take me out to eat and then we had sex when we got back to my dorm."

"I see, so if this happened in August, and it's now October twentieth, you've became fertile two weeks after having sex.... so you are probably close to or around seven to eight weeks."

Seokjin nods, processing the information since his brother was too much in shock to absorb this information. The doctor clears his throat, "Why don't we see how far you are exactly?"

Seonghwa swallows harshly, standing and walking over to the bed and sitting on it properly. After some adjustment to his clothes and once the machine is on, gel is placed on his lower stomach and soon the Doppler wand. The doctor makes a noise of surprise, "Actually, you're about seven and a half weeks pregnant. I wasn't expecting much, but I'm still a little surprised. They're growing nicely, and they look healthy to me! Now, let's listen to the heartbeat."

"We can hear it this early?" Seonghwa asks in amazement, his eyes never leaving the black and white screen of the blob looking baby.

"Yup! A fetus' heart starts beating around six weeks of development, since to me you're looking around seven and a half to eight, we should hear something!" The doctor chuckles, flipping a switch and soon the room was filled with a steady beat. Seonghwa gasps, covering his mouth as he starts tearing up.

"Is that...?"

"That's your baby's heart brother dear," Seokjin smiles, grabbing his brother's hand and squeezing it, "Doesn't it sound beautiful?"

Seonghwa sobs, nodding his head, "I don't want to get rid of it, please don't make me!"

"We're not making you Seonghwa, it's your decision," the doctor reassures.

"I'm not getting rid of it," Seonghwa shakes his head, sniffling, "I've wanted to this past couple weeks because I have other plans in life but.... I don't mind a little bump in the road."

"It's going to be hard, being a single parent, but I have a feeling you can do it especially after graduating nursing school. When will he be due doctor?"

"By my calculations.... if you conceived the baby in late August, early September... late April or early May?" The doctor arches his eyebrow, "Sounds about right."

Seonghwa nods, "I can get my degree early and I won't have to walk. I can do it."

"Plus, it gives you time for maternity leave before you have to find a job. You have to have a job six months after leaving college," Seokjin smiles, "Which I believe you can do it."

"Alright Seokjin, are you ready?" The doctor smiles, "We get to see your baby as well."

"Hyung? You didn't tell me you're pregnant," Seonghwa frowns.

"I'm sixteen weeks," Seokjin smiles, "we get to see the gender today."

Seonghwa's mouth falls open in shock as he slips out of the bed and lets his brother take his place. The doctor adjusts the machine before applying the gel to Seokjin's belly and then applying the Doppler wand. Seonghwa sees a baby pop up on the screen, an actually formed baby with hands and feet. He was in awe, droning out the conversation between his brother and doctor until he heard, "It's a boy?"

"Yup, you can see his scrotum right here, that's how we know," the doctor chuckles, "he's growing nicely and looks extremely healthy. Heartbeat?" He flips the switch again and the steady and healthy heartbeat fills everyone's ears, "Very nice. You got a healthy baby on your hands Mr. Kim. Both of you have nice and healthy babies growing inside you."

Seokjin is having a baby boy as well!! Will Mark? Do you guys want me to write some special chapters with Seonghwa being a new mother as well? And how he's doing? Let me know!! I'm actually tempted to make a whole section of this book about him but this book is strictly about the neighborly bond between Kihyun, Seokjin, and Mark. Maybe a separate book? Tell me what you all think!
