Third Person POV

Rest of the train journey passed without any incident.

Sid was busy talking to the team about his new job and the projects he was doing. Samy spent the time with Uma chatting and at the same tried to capture Sid's conversation as much as possible, as she was going to join his firm in two weeks.

Though Sid was busy talking, he expected Samy to reach out to him and talk about the previous night, but Samy seemed happy talking to her friends without paying him any attention.

Samy at the same time wanted to talk to Sid about the previous  night and the fight with the goons, but there were too many people around and she wasn't ready to show her emotions for Sid in public. She was afraid, she would loose it, if she spoke to Sid.

Samy was sure she would end up crying and hugging Sid as she was on edge emotionally.  So she stayed away from him.

The next week passed heavily as both remained in their corners, hoping the other person would contact.

Samy jumped everytime her phone rang, hoping it was Sid. Sid too punched her phone, number of times, but backed out before hitting the call button.

Samy's parents were leaving for a US trip in a week and kept her busy with packing and shopping.

It was Friday and Samy was getting desperate about Sid. She sat in her office with Uma, trying to handover her responsibilities to her.

She had one more week to go before joining Sid's firm, but she was sure she can't spend another week, without seeing him.

"Samy .. You look horrible .. what is going on? For God's sake it's Friday .. cheer up!" Uma asked Samy, looking at her gloomy face.

"Nah! Just tired!" She lied.

"Samy!" Srini walked in holding a file.

"Yes Srini, did u send me and Uma. the updates on Singapore project, I requested?"

"Yes, should be in your Inbox. Only one issue - we ran into a major bug with the core engine."

"Oh! Who is looking into it? Did you guys call Sid for help?" Uma asked him.

"Yup, Sid promised to look into it on Monday."

"No, send me the details now, I will ask him to look into it this weekend." Samy replied excitedly, thanking him internally, for creating the opportunity.

"It's not that urgent Samy, it can wait till next week. I don't want to bother Sid. He may be having some weekend plans."

"He better not!" Samy thought inside. "Just go and send me the details Srini. I don't have time, I want to hand over a clean slate to Uma." She almost shouted.

"Chill Samy .. cool! .. its okay" Uma whispered as Srini ran out to send her the email about the details of the issue.

Samy's brain was already in overdrive trying to think of a plan to utilize the opportunity.

Next Day Morning

Samy woke up early in the morning, even though it was Saturday, and got ready. She rummaged through her closet and picked up her best dress. She put on a light makeup and slipped on her best heels.

She hoped to slip through the front door without her parents noticing, but her mother caught her opening the front door.

"Samy! What happened? Where are you going this early on Saturday?"

"Sorry Ma, in a hurry. Have a huge technical issue going on with our Singapore project, I need to go to the office."

"But what about shopping? We are leaving in three days to USA!."
