We've been heading towards the last place Kabuto was seen. That place would happen to be only known by Sasuke, and so he's been leading Itachi and I towards the location of Kabuto and, supposedly, Orochimaru. Orochimaru's arms were sealed away, though, but I don't believe that makes him useless. I have fought him before when his arms were sealed, and he was still a formidable opponent. Then again, we had only come here for Kabuto. Orochimaru could be dealt with another day.

"Why aren't we dealing with the bigger fish first?" Itachi knew what I was referencing.

"If you kill the smaller fish, the bigger one will starve. If you kill the bigger one, the smaller one will thrive." I guess that made sense. Though, I don't believe Orochimaru will die if we eliminate his henchmen, he IS a great Sannin after all. That creepy snake will figure something out.

Itachi must have sensed my doubt, since he spoke up once more.

"Orochimaru is someone whom can be dealt with by an ever larger fish than us. Together, we are a bigger fish than Kabuto, but we are still smaller than Orochimaru."

Were we really though? I know, for a fact, I could not defeat Orochimaru by myself, nor did I want to test that fact. The only things the man didn't have were probably Byakugan, Sharingan and it's variants, and the Jinchuriki and Bijuu. Though, the last fact may be because of the Akatsuki and their constant gathering of the Jinchuriki and Bijuu. Then again, the Akatsuki has only captured two so far, according to Itachi. But we were both sure that they would start heading after them once more. Though, Itachi was unsure of who they were going after next. He's got a pretty solid guess of the one tails, which meant they were heading to Sunagakure to battle Gaara. But, even so, there were 7 Bijuu not in Akatsuki hands, so what was stopping a legendary Sannin from capturing them? Maybe he wanted to stay out of the Akatsuki's way. I didn't know. Nowadays I'm not afraid to admit I'm not as smart as Itachi is. If he weren't here, I'd probably be chasing after Orochimaru and completely disregarding Kabuto's existence. One thing I didn't think I'd ever think in my life is that I was grateful for the ex-Akatsuki member's presence. Then again, a lot of things are happening right now that I thought would never happen in my life, and being grateful for the ex-Akatsuki member's existence should be one of the smaller things.

Like Sasuke being a wendigo. That seems more surprising than being grateful for another person's presence, doesn't it?

"How do you feel about Sasuke?" The question came out of the blue.

"What do you mean?"

"He thinks you hate him."

I don't.

"I never could."

"If you could, would you?"

No. Most definitely not. No one deserves to be hated. There's a reason for everything.

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because Sasuke doesn't deserve to be hated."

"Most would disagree with you."

"That's because people are too self-absorbed to look at the bigger picture."

Itachi smiled. I saw the ends of his lips twitch upwards. He was pleased about something. Who knows what that is. I spoke again, driving the conversation forward.

"When a person is attacked by an animal, it's thought of as a tragedy and we feel bad for a week and then forget about it. When a person is attacked by another person, more specifically a person eats another person, it's thought of decades after it happened. Why, when animals eat humans it becomes another statistic in a data book, but a human eats another human their name is marked down in a history book."
