"You know that idols have an annual secret party right?" Yeri asked Jungkook. They are on the sofa, Jungkook's seating while she laid down her head on his lap.

"Yeah, there is. It just happened last month right?" He asked her while caressing her hair.

"Yep but we both didn't have the chance to go because we're busy..." She replied with regret.

"What are you trying to say, baby?"

"I mean, you know there are other idols who are dating and they get a chance to dance with each other when there's a sweet song played there." She mumbled with a cute pout. Jungkook bent down to give her a peck. Soon enough, she's red as a tomato.

He laughed and pinched her nose lightly.

"I think I get what you're saying. You want us to dance right?" He asked her while smiling wide.

"Yeah and I want the song to be Ed Sheeran's Perfect. I'll be sure to dress up well so that the song would fit us." She muttered while staring at the ceiling, daydreaming.

"Let's just dance right here, right now." He suggests while scrolling through his phone trying to find the certain song.

He stood up and offers his hand to her while smiling foolishly.

"Can I have this dance, beautiful?"

She was laughing so loud but still played along. She accepts his hand as she also stood up.

"Yes, you can."

He gently put his hands on her waist in a hugging-like manner and she puts her hands on the back of his neck. They started swaying lightly.

And so, with the dim lights of the living room and 'Perfect' playing in the background, they were lost in each other's eyes. He leaned in and brush their noses together before they both closed their eyes, leaning in for a short yet sweet kiss.

Baby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song
I have faith in what I see
Now I know I have met an angel in person
And she looks perfect
I don't deserve this
You look perfect tonight

"You know that last dance is quite important for couples during events like that?" She asked him lowly.

"Yeah" he mumbled lowly. He's mesmerized by the beauty before him.

"I want you to be my last dance that night." She said while they still sway and dance.

"Of course I should be your last dance. I won't let other guys steal you." He said
seriously.

"Deym. You're one jealous boyfriend." She chortled.

The night that Yeri anticipates so much came.

Saying Jungkook is nervous is an understatement because he is more than nervous. His hands are shaking. He feels as if his heart will leap out of his chest. Slowly, he went to Red Velvet's table and offers his hand in front of Yeri.

"Can I have this dance, beautiful?"

She looked up and smiled at him. The other RV members also smiled at them.

"Yes, you can." She accepted his shaking hands like the way she also did almost a year ago.

They went to the dance floor and before he put his hands on her waists, she held it.

"Stop shaking so much, Jungkook. Are you nervous?" She said with a chuckle.

"Yes but I'll try not to be."

The background music is replaced by Ed Sheeran's 'Perfect' and when they heard it, they both smiled at each other, reminiscing the dance they once had in his apartment's living room.

Looking at her dressed up like this, song they both wanted is playing and they are in each other's arms made Jungkook feel like he's in cloud nine.

"...So how are you?" She asked him hesitantly. His face falls down. That one question was enough to break Jungkook's bubbles. The pain he went through for the past months came back.

"...I'm okay. I'm doing my best to focus on other things. I'm also composing songs now. You're my teacher in that department right?" He answered while chuckling to cover up the pain he's feeling.

She smiled sympathetically to him.

"I'm sorry Jungkook. I'm sorry it didn't work out for us." Her voice is becoming muffled and unclear as she prevents her tears from falling.

"No, don't cry bab- I mean Yeri. It's not your fault. We both didn't want to end up like this but I guess shit just happens. Don't beat youself up with it." He mumbled gently as he wipes off her tears.

"That's what I should be telling you. Don't beat yourself over it. We'll both be fine... I guess." She gently smiled at him. She admits, she missed him. She missed being with him. But that's not gonna happen now. Everything's different. So different...

"Yeah, I mean I know you're happy with someone now but I hope we'll not be awkward around each other anymore. I want us to be civil at least."

It pains him that even though what she wants a year ago all came true for the both of them except the last dance, they are not together anymore.

"Okay. Jaehyun's not the jealous type so I guess it's okay." She smiled at him genuinely.

They suddenly heard the DJ said that it's the last dance. Jaehyun walked beside Yeri.

"Hey sorry to interrupt but it's the last dance, I hope you don't mind, Jungkook." Jaehyun said gently.

"Yeah, no problem."

Before she goes to Jaehyun, she said,

"I guess it's our last dance, Jungkook. I hope you'll be happy." She muttered and hugged him.

Yeah it's our last dance and I'm not your last dance.

He looked at them walking away from him. Yerim is holding Jaehyun's hand while they smile to each other. Jungkook felt as if his heart is being punched a million times. It hurts. It hurts him so much.

I guess Ed Sheeran's 'Happier' would suit us better... 'Cause you look happier with him.
