It was a typical and sunny day. Jungkook was sitting on the sofa, engrossed in making his office reports in the master's bedroom, a laptop is before him place on top of a small coffee table. As usual, his face is stoic and he focuses on what he's currently doing, not minding anything. Yerim lays down on the bed lazily, reading one of her favorite books. She averted her attention to her husband, Jungkook. This scene was so familiar to her that she couldn't help but smile, reminiscing the first time they met.It was twelve years ago, Yerim was fifteen while Jungkook was seventeen. His mother was a high school friend of her mother so they went to Yerim's house for a visit.
When her mother introduced Jungkook to her, it was as if a prince charming that she only read in books has come to life. Don't blame her, she's young and a hopeless romantic. She can't say she's in love already, but she's sure she is attracted to him even if it's just the first day of meeting him. She was in a daze while Jungkook just stare at her boringly. You can say he's probably just forced on going there.
Jungkook's mother said they could hang out at Yerim's room but warned them that they shouldn't do anything stupid. When the two teens heard it, they had different reactions. Jungkook rolled his eyes while Yerim wave her hands profusely while her face is as red as a tomato. Nonetheless, they still went to Yerim's room.
Jungkook didn't say anything to her and just sat on the sofa. He looked around, trying to find some time-consuming things, at least to appease his boredom. He saw a Sudoku puzzle and asked her if he could use it. When Yerim heard his voice, she couldn't answer straight away.
"Hey. I asked you." Jungkook's somewhat annoyed voice resonated across the room. Only then Yerim snapped out of her trance and managed to nod several times. Yerim then plopped herself down on her bed, took the book she's not yet finished reading from the side table and started to read it. Actually, from time to time, she peeks on the boy in her room. With a blushing face, she smiles to herself as she sees his furrowed eyebrows while he is concentrating.
At that time, who knew that they'll be in one house after twelve years, in a similar situation, the only difference is Yerim asking Jungkook for a divorce.
The twenty-seven year old Yerim snapped out of her thoughts and a bitter smile appeared on her sunken yet beautiful face.Ah. Those were the days...
She stopped reading the book and placed it down slowly beside her. She looked at him intently and heaved a deep and meaningful sigh.
"Jungkook, i want to get a divorce." Yerim's soft voice reached Jungkook's ears and the sound of the typing on a laptop immediately stopped.
She said it in the most casual way you could probably hear a wife asking for a divorce. It was like when she asks him to do things for her when they were still dating.
"Jungkook, buy me a banana roti there in Thailand, okay?"
"Jungkook, let's go to the cinema later."
"Jungkook, help me with the groceries hm?"
He looked up and saw her. Yerim saw his shocked expression. Actually, Yerim is very familiar of Jungkook's expressions as she always looked at him carefully. This one, it was similar to when Yerim first asked him out for a date.
Yerim was sixteen and he was nineteen. It was one year since they had known each other. Jungkook goes to their house almost everyday, saying he's bored at their house. That is true actually but he forgot to say another thing, he goes there everyday just to see her.
It was one Saturday when Jungkook when to Yerim's room in the most usual time. He saw Yerim was dressed and he was sad because she probably will go to somewhere.
