Chapter 22

Sooji is sitting alone in the waiting room. While Shihyun is inside the operating room. She feels numb. She hasn't called anyone except Sejoo, because she didn't know how to explain this situation to Shihyun's Dad or even worst, his grandma.

"How is he??", Sejoo is suddenly standing in front of her. Out of breath.

Sooji gets up. "I don't know....he's still inside...".

Sooji looks pale. her voice was so low. It almost sounds like a whisper. Sejoo pulls her into a hug. "It's okay....he's going to be okay...."

Hearing those words, make all the feels she was trying so hard to hold, comes out. She breaks down crying in Sejoo's hug. "It seems like...he was...on his way to the airport...and he tried to avoid a speeding car but ended up crashing a roadblock...it's all because of me...", she said between her sobs.

"No...no...no...dont blame yourself....", Sejoo's stroking her back. "It's an accident...it's no one's fault...", Sejoo is worried too. But he should be strong for her now. "He'll be okay....believe me....he'll be okay....and everything will be okay...."

Sooji cant stops crying. She wanted to believe Sejoo, so bad. Because she didn't know how she'll survive if something happened to Shihyun.

Half an hour later the doctor finally came out from the operating room. "How is he??", Sooji asks nervously.

"He's okay....he wore a seatbelt and the airbag deployed on time..so no serious injuries...just broken ribs and few scratches....it'll heal in no time...", the doctor explains.

"Oh thank God....", Sejoo yelled. "Thank you, Doc..."

"He'll be moved to a recovery room and you can see him after..."

Sooji feels so relief she can't even say anything. She's just standing there. Breathing, as if it was something hard to do for this past few hours.

"He looks horrible....", Sooji's observing unconscious Shihyun, who's been already moved to his own recovery room. His face is full of little scratches. He looks so much thinner. And the bags under his eyes only make it worst. "He'll be okay, won't he?", Sooji asks worriedly.

"You heard what the doctor said, right? He'll be fine...", Sejoo grabs her hand, trying to calm her down. "You should get some rest...you to look horrible too...", Sejoo smiles.

" But...", she wanted to be by his side when he's awake.

"He won't wake up for another hour...", Sejoo said, as if he knew what was Sooji thinking.

"Okay...", Sooji finally gives up. Because she's actually exhausted. She knew she'll pass out if she refused to lay down and rest.

"Engh...", Shihyun groans in pain as soon as he opened his eyes. He feels pain spreading through all of his body.

"You're awake..", Sejoo who's been sitting at the sofa, run to his side.

"I should go...Aargh...", Shihyun tried to get up but a sharp pain in his chest stopped him.

"Woaa...easy there...", Sejoo helps him to lay down. "You were in a car crash...you got a broken rib...you can't go anywhere anytime soon..."

"But Sooji...I need to stop her from leaving...", Shihyun insists.

Sejoo chuckles. "Wait here...I'll bring her to you..."

"What??", Shihyun doesn't understand what Sejoo meant.

Instead of explaining, Sejoo went to the sofa and wake Sooji up. "He's awake...and he's looking for you..."
