I glanced at the clock outside the cell.

It was 11:30.

Small snoring sounds reached my ears.

Lucy had fallen asleep again.

"Come on Lu, wake up." Mika gently shook her.

"Ah! Yeah... sorry..." Lucy yawns.

"It's fine, but it's half an hour to midnight. Where are your friends?" Joseph asks.

"Good question..." I sigh.

Maybe Aaron isn't coming after all.

"Hey, don't say that." Talon says.

"Oh, sorry. Didn't realize I was speaking aloud." I laugh nervously.

The guards outside our cell have fallen asleep.

"Ugh. Whatever, where are they?" Chris asks. He's pale skinned, extremely pale skinned, with messy black hair and dark blue eyes. He's just slightly chubby, but muscular. Not very smart though, and... very racist. He doesn't like other species or skin colors, and claims to not hang out with them, despite being dragged along to us by Talon. He's basically part of the group, but honestly, none of us like him very much. Though, he reminds me of Zane in high school. That at least, helps me not lose it on him.

"Shut up Chris, you wouldn't be here if it weren't for the fact that your Talon's cellmate." Mika says.

"Don't be like Mi-mi." Joseph says.

Whack!

Mika hits him over the head.

"What have I told you about calling me that?!" She hisses.

"Ow! Sorry..." he whispers.

"Guys, stop fighting..." I sigh.

11:45

Where is Aaron?

"15 minutes 'till midnight." Talon says.

"Your friends had better be here by midnight, or I'm going back to our cell." Chris grumbles.

"Shut up!" Mika exclaims, whacking him.

"Ow!" Chris yelps, holding his new red bump on his head.

"Sometimes I think your as bad as Chris is." Joseph sighs.

"The difference is I don't mean it when I insult you. He does." Mika retorts.

Snore...

Lucy fell asleep again.

"Seriously?" Talon asks in disbelief.

"How the hell does this woman fall asleep so fast?!" Mika exclaims.

"She's a Meif'wa. They can fall alseep pretty much anywhere, anytime, and they can sleep through almost everything. Lucy's just more alert then other Meif'was, so it's easier to wake her." I say.

"How do you know that?" Joseph asks.

"I have a friend whose a Meif'wa. Or... used to... Zane was her boyfriend..." I trail off.

"Ah..." he looks away.

"Good job idiot. Now her fiancé is gonna kill us for upsetting her." Mika shoves him lightly.
