What Now?

"Well? You coming?" Mika asks me.

Backing up to explain, Mika, Joseph, Lucy, Talon, Pearl, Chris, and Ellie are all leaving. They want to know if I'm coming with them.

As nice as they are, I'm not.

I'm with Aaron, and all my other friends.

If they're leaving, I won't stop them. But I'm not going with them.

Mika holds her hand out to me.

I smile sadly.

"No. I'm sorry, but I'm with my family, and if you want to leave I won't stop you. But I won't go with you." I say, a little sadly. I expect them to be upset and angry, but to my surprise, Mika laughs.

"Told you so." She elbows Joseph.

"Okay, okay. You were right, these people mean to much to her. Not sure why I thought she would come in the first place..." he grumbles.

"What they mean, is that we expected that response." Lucy says, glancing at them. "Joseph thought you might want to come, so we offered, but it really isn't a surprise you don't."

"Your not upset?" I ask.

"About what? That we're leaving? Your not coming? Or that we have to take Chris with us?" Ellie asks.

"Can we go already?" Chris asks.

"Shush. Thanks for the extra staff." Talon says to Lucinda.

"Not a problem. I run a witchcraft shop." Lucinda replies.

"Heh. See you all again?" Pearl asks.

"Oh, probably. I think the girls will miss you too much for it not to happen." Aaron says.

"Well excuse us for being upset that childhood friends we haven't seen since we were three are leaving!" Taiya snaps, as Kaiya sniffles.

"Yeah. We'll see you again." I say.

"Good, cause I'm going to miss you and your potato-ness." Mika jokes, ruffling my hair. I glare at her.

"Pfft. Come on, let's go before the others start crying." Joseph says, dragging them away.

Not a tearful goodbye, but I am going to miss them.

We go into the dining room, and sit down. Kawaii~chan has breakfast out and ready.

Everyone sits down, and we eat.

"I'm sorry..." I mumble to myself. I guess Kawaii~chan heard, cause she gave me a confused look.

"What are you apologizing for Aphmau~senpai? You didn't do anything." She says. I flush in embarrassment.
