As Jungin, the doctor, had expressed her worries to Jinyoung, concerned with Nanseok's lungs function, it had got worse and worse.

Once again, Jinyoung did not hire a nurse, as his father also did not want; he took care of his father himself.

Not himself alone, however. Mark was also often there, especially when Jinyoung was out.

They had never talked properly to each other how they would stay by Nanseok's bed alternatively. But the unspoken agreement was there - one was to look after Nanseok while the other was out.

Jinyoung would have preferred looking after his father by himself but he could not be there all the time. And somehow he could understand that his father preferred Mark's presence to the maids'.

However, the relationship between Mark and Jinyoung had not improved. Whenever there was something unsatisfactory, Jinyoung would come to him and argue with him over small things, like what time he had fed Nanseok or if he had pulled open the curtains, even though it could be Nanseok's request.

He did not mind taking care of Nanseok because that was what he wanted to do; it was the only way he could somehow repay the gratitude. But Jinyoung always made him get tired of everything.

Once again he felt himself getting under the influence of Jinyoung; as long as, they needed to associate, he would still be.

That one time as well, they had a go at each other just outside Nanseok's room.

Jinyoung had come back home while Mark was still inside Nanseok's room; but then Jinyoung came in and took him outside.

Once the door was closed, Jinyoung let out his anger, "You didn't make my Dad take his medicine last evening. What's with that? I entered the room last night and the evening medicine was still there. Did you just forget or not care whether my Dad takes his medicine or not?"

"Listen to your own words. If I didn't care his wellbeing, I'd not be here in the first place."

"Then why the hell were you so careless?"

"He was asleep last evening, and I didn't want to wake him up. The medicine is also for his lungs to be steady and for him to be able to rest well. He was already peacefully asleep, was I to interrupt his sleep, just to make him take the medicine, which would let him have a good rest?"

"Whatever, medicine is still medicine. You can't decide yourself which he should take and which he should not."

"Use your brain a little bit, Park Jinyoung. That medicine is also included in the medicine set for night. Just letting him skip it once, would not affect his health."

"I don't want to hear your reasons!" Jinyoung spat, "What you didn't is still what you didn't. Let it be the last time. And next time, I'm not going to forgive you, I'll consider forbidding you to come at all."

"Are you threatening me? I'm here at my own will and I'd never do something to him with a bad intention. Just think of yourself. Even have you all perfectly taken care of him?"

"Whatever. Just keep in your mind what I've said to you, Mark Tuan."

Once Mr. Park was no more here, Mark considered, he also shouldn't be here anymore. No way was he going to live under Jinyoung's control once he became the Master of the house.

The promise he had given to his father came back to him - to be always grateful to the Parks. But he was indebted to Mr. Park and his wife, not to Jinyoung.

Moreover, he did not think Jinyoung would accept him here, once Nanseok passed away. If could be that the very first thing Jinyoung would do once his father died, was driving Mark out of the yard and far away from him.

Mark felt he must have some plans for himself. Where and on what was he going to live?

Perhaps he could rent a cheap flat and have some part-time jobs till he graduated. After all, he was going to be graduated at the end of this year.

After he had got the degree, it should be easier for him to live on his own feet.

Then he would not need to rely on Jinyoung and no more to be called 'sponging off someone.'

With those plans having considered, Mark felt a bit more at ease and could focus on the present better.
