It was a overcast Thursday night, the street lights lit up the surrounding area with an orange glow. The passing cars seemed to speed up as the came closer to me. Is it because of what I'm wearing? Probably, I'm dressed head to toe in black to make sure my identity is unknown. I scan the nearby houses for something like an open window for me to climb into and just my luck this one right here has just that. I stealthily walk up to the opening and jump through , then landing hard on the floor as I slipped off the counter. Quickly, I stand up and realize I'm in a kitchen, so I tip toe down the hallway on my left. A study! Searching through the draws I go but to no prevail, I must have forgotten to put some money in here. *CLICK* "What do you think your DOING" Suddenly the light is switched on and I'm confronted by non other than- "Mark it's not what it looks like!" I spit out.
" YOU DO THIS EVERY NIGHT GERALD!"
" I-I-um"
"NO GERALD, I want a divorce!"
I stand there in shock and sudden wave of sadness washes over me. I glance to my left , there's a window. I climb out of it and sit outside on the grass with my knees pressed to my chest and my arms wrapped around myself.
'Maybe I should stop this, I love Mark and I think it's really hurting him.'
No, Marks fine, he's just bluffing, he says that every night remember? Look, he's setting up for tomorrow right now, he'd never actually leave you .
I look over to where I had just came from to see Mark shutting the window and turning the light off. He looked sad.
Go talk to Mark, I bet you that he is fine.

Gerald and Mark are two characters that my friend and I created for a skit and now have decided to make into something more. We hope that you enjoy.
