Alex, Emily and Thomas all stood up and entered the principal's office.

Alex and Thomas stood meekly, side by side, in front of the principal's desk. Emily stood leaning on a wall with her arms crossed as she waited for the principal to talk.

"So, you three, would you like to explain what has gone on between you this morning?" the principal asked.

"Well, that witch assaulted me!" Alex shouted.

"She didn't even go anywhere near you! She was on the floor coughing." Thomas spoke.

The principal turned to face Emily. "What happened."

"I don't know, you tell me." Emily shrugged, turning her attention to a painting behind the principal. It was Van Goch's 'Starry Night' or at least a copy of it.

"Right, Emily, that will be a three-day suspension. You will come back to school on Monday and it will be a clean slate. Alex, go home and get your folks to take you to the hospital and Thomas, continue on you daily routine." The principal spoke, dismissing the students. They left the office, and all went their separate ways.

Thomas went to his next class, Alex left school and Emily stood in front of Alice, smirking.

"What happened in there?" Alice asked.

"I got a three-day suspension." Emily replied, walking to her next class.

"Oh... okay then." Alice followed.

"Something wrong?" Emily sighed, ready to be spoken at.

"I was hoping that I could pull you out of classes on Friday to come and watch my Theatre exam.

"What time is it?" Emily stood outside her art class, waiting for the teacher to let her inside.

"2:45." Alice replied, standing next to Emily.

"I'll be there,"

"That's a song." Alice muttered as they went inside the classroom.

Everyone sat down in a seat and the teacher handed each pupil's art book out. Alice got out a small art kit whilst Emily leaned over and asked to borrow a pencil. The class got going for a while, peacefully drawing whatever they were assigned.

"Uh." Emily rested her head on the table, frowning as everyone stared.

"Emily? What's wrong?" Alice whispered.

"I can't draw this stupid face." Emily groaned, moving her book over to Alice. Alice looked carefully at the page, smiling at the marks on the paper from Emily rubbing things out after pressing too hard with the pencil.

"Then draw it in a different style like abstract." Alice suggested.

"Either way, it will be terrible," Emily muttered, taking her book back, starting a new page and beginning to draw the face with a different method.

At the end of the class, Emily swung her bag over her shoulder and walked out of the class, leaving her empty page on the table with Alice's pencil.

There was a loud chattering in the hallway of the school building, everyone was inside due to the soft hum of rain outside. Emily walked outside across the school courtyard into the maths block and ducked into a classroom, after that she had a break between lessons then went to biology, chemistry and photography.

During photography, Alice and Emily hardly spoke as they walked around the school courtyard taking photos before writing what makes each photograph good and bad before taking the next.
