It was safe to say that Roger had just never liked you. You didn't know why. The reason of his dislike for you was an unknown one.

He was already pissed off, after seeing the hotel. Which made sense as it was a dump. Looked nothing like the brochure and displayed some interesting characters. It wasn't like you had anywhere else you could go. No hotels would have five available rooms at 4am anyway. So the drummer had some reason to be angry but to direct it at you seemed harsh. You'd never missed up like this before. Yet the others insisted it really wasn't your fault.

"Right yeah, nice one, (Y/N). So now we have three rooms and there's five of us. Bloody five! You have got to be kidding me." You didn't know what to say as Roger kicked off.

The poor hotel staff had apologised profusely that they were only able to find three of the five bookings. Fair enough, you got free breakfast because of it, but that wasn't the point. It was terrible service to revoke a booking. Worse yet, it seemed the drummer of the band you worked for seemed to take this opportunity to blame every failing of the tour on you.

"What shall I do, Roger? Build two new hotel rooms from scratch and tag them on the side of the hotel?" You snapped.

"Will you relax, Rog? It's just like University, I'll bunk with John and you'll go with Brian." Freddie spoke up, grinning.

"Actually, one of these rooms is three floors from the others. I'm not comfortable with (Y/N) being on her own in this place, it's a bit...unpleasant," Brian had figured out the hotel very quickly, including all of the eyes staring right at them. He seemed to have decided on the best course of action. "Plus, It's a single room. Roger refuses to sleep in single beds, so I think that means John or I will be in that one."

"I don't mind a single room." You add.

"It's really far away from the rest of us though. As nice as that may sound, this isn't the place for it. I'd rather know that you're alright and with one of us. John, maybe you take the single and I-?"

"I'd rather not be by myself in Bates Motel, thanks though." Deaky didn't even entertain the thought, let alone consider it.

You appreciated the sentiment but there really was no need. You were sure you'd be okay. Still, you went along with what Brian had said. He seemed to be angling for the double room himself, maybe for some time alone with you. You wouldn't mind that.

"So I'm in a double room, perfect-" Roger began but was cut off by Freddie.

"With our lovely (Y/N). You can make sure trouble doesn't find her, I'm sure." Fred made himself very clear.

Freddie had been adamant that Roger would warm up to you, if only you got some time to actually talk. See eye to eye. If he could get off his high horse, you might agree with Fred. But Roger was riding high and would simply never throw you a bone.

"Wait, I'm sharing with her?"

"Grow up, yes you are." Freddie had no sympathy for the stupid blonde ball of temper. He was tired and didn't care where he slept after being on the road for so long.

Even though Roger wasn't your biggest fan, the rest of the boys had taken to you a lot whilst you were still John Reid's personal assistant, so much so that you soon became theirs too. Your job was to make bookings and make sure everyone knew where they had to be in time. They never did arrive on time but they were budding rock stars. No one expected them to do as they were told anyway. It was Freddie's decision to make you the bands personal assistant. As soon as he saw you roll your eyes behind Reid's back at the mention of working late he simply knew you'd get along and you did. You loved Freddie, he was talented as he was kind. John was a sweetheart from day one but it took him some getting used to having you around. John enjoyed your company very much now.
