spring bath

"Ah, Lucy-Chan! You finally arrived!" Levy waves as her closest friend steps her feet into the hot water. I take in a deep breath of the hot spring air. My eyes wander as I appreciate the pleasing views of how the outdoor bath was neat and beautiful, and how the steam drifted upwards into the dark sky.

"Levy, you were right. This place is marvelous!" I say as I sink into the water. "So what's up with you?"

"Nothing really... Well it is something really but.."

I glance at Levy, "But what? Did something happen?"

"Well.. yes. You know how I've had a crush on Gajeel for a little while now?" Levy's cheeks turn a bright pink.

"I wouldn't say a little while.." I scoff.

"That's not the point! I finally got the guts to tell him. But when I went to tell him, it just so happened that he told me that he loves me first? I wasn't prepared.." Levy bites her lip in fear of embarrassment.

"Aw Levy-Chan! You shouldn't be embarrassed about that. That's in fact a good thing, correct? Be thankful." I place my hand on her shoulder.

"No, Lucy. You don't understand yet.. After sharing words of love with each other, we.." Levy pauses.

I lift my eyebrow in confusion, "What happened?"

Levy pauses and presses her lips together. Her cheeks become a bright red.
I start thinking of worst case scenarios I've been in, except I haven't experienced confessing to a loved one. I start thinking of my loved one, Natsu Dragneel. The man that has protected me ever since he introduced me to my new home, Fairy Tail. He is always there for me, how could I not love him? I suddenly catch myself appreciating Levy's boldness for confessing to her love, something I could never do. I cannot get myself to spill my feelings to Natsu. I get to afraid of what could go wrong; I guess you could call me pessimistic and an overthinker. But Levy seems to be lucky. He had the same feelings back to her, what could've possibly gone on afterwards that is making her so embarrassed and ashamed?

"Levy!" I grunt.

"I-I'm sorry.. what we ended up doing is kind of embarrassing to say, maybe you'll understand one day.. Please excuse me." Levy steps out of the bath, wraps a towel around her body and walks inside the room.

I sigh loudly and lay against the wall with her face into hands.
"One day? What was she trying to imply? Do I have to tell Natsu I am in love with him to find out what she is talking about?" I lift my head and stare at the full moon, and after a few seconds I shut my eyes.

"How can you be so naïve, Luigi?"

My eyes snap out and I immediately turn to the left of me, seeing a pink-haired, muscular man with a towel.

"Natsu! My name is Lucy!!" I snap at him. I turn my head back around to indicate I am annoyed. Suddenly, I flashback to what I had said earlier.

"Do I have to tell Natsu I am in love with him to find out what she is talking about?"

...

My face suddenly heats up as my heart starts to jump out of my chest. What in the world is Natsu doing here? What am I supposed to do now? I barely have time to think, and I cannot run away because I am naked! Oh no, I am naked!? Could this situation become any worse?

I hear someone stepping into the water. I pray to God that it is Levy who has returned back. I suck up my fear and turn around quickly to get this over with.

I open one eye to see Natsu directly in front of me. I become extremely flustered and get the urge to turn around, but before I can, Natsu grabs hold of my arms and tells me, "Calm down, Luce." and smiles.
