3rd Person POV: Avenger's Tower

"What do you mean, 'Spiderman's missing?'"

"What the hell do you think it means, Fury? I mean; Spiderman has been missing for ten days!"

"I thought you said eight?"

"Well now that you're so kindly getting back to me, two days have passed since I left the voicemail, genius." Tony pinches the bridge of his nose and huffs out a short breath in annoyance.

Fury is quick to rebuke, "Well I'm sorry that I have better things to do than chase after wayward vigilantes." After a quick pause he continues, "You have thirty seconds."

"Okay. So I know you're gonna kill me, but Spiderman is a fifteen year old named Peter Parker. I've sent you his address and what he looks like. The last I heard from him was ten days ago and it's been silent ever since, which is weird because the kid doesn't shut up. He's like an overeager puppy."

The man at the other end of the line huffs, "Get to the point."

"Two days ago I called him and his aunt multiple times each and neither of them answered to I made the reasonable decision of breaking into their home. I found his aunt on the floor with blood coming out of her neck. I just want to know if there's anything we can do to find him. I need to make sure he's safe."

Fury pauses for a bit at the overload of information. "Are you positive that he didn't kill his aunt?"

Tony almost yells in frustration, responding angrily; "What part of overexcited puppy don't you understand?"

"I'm looking at this from all angles, Stark."

"Just... can you find him?" Tony's voice is soft, almost to the point of worry, "Don't tell anyone, but I care about the kid. If something happened to him, that's on me."

"I'll see what I can do. I'm not in charge of much anymore but I still have a few connections."

"Thank you." The call ends as both men hang up. Tony sits down heavily, head in hands. Unbeknownst to the billionaire, a super soldier and mind-reader linger just outside the heavy door to his workshop.

Steve Rogers POV: Avengers Tower

I'm reeling in shock. I knew Spiderman was young, but just 15? That's barely a high schooler! I dropped a f*cking terminal on him, for crying out loud!! Granted, the kid was tough, but that doesn't warrant a battle between the mightiest people on Earth to include himself. What else might've happened during his run that we don't know about? We need to find him. Fast. A soft voice jolts me out of my thoughts, "I can try to find his energy. If I can locate where he his then we may be able to get him back." Wanda adds in a lower voice, "The condition he comes back in isn't as secure."

"If you can do that, you may be saving the life of a great person. I'll talk to Stark and you should see if you can find anything about this Parker kid online and then concentrate on finding him. Don't tell the others quite yet."

She nods, turning around and walking off gracefully, auburn hair swinging slightly against her shoulders. I stare at the door for a moment before knocking against the heavy wood. A gruff, "What." is called from inside the room and I take it as a sign to enter.

I push the door open and am immediately stunned by the sheer grief on the man's face. Prominent circles rest under his eyes, purple darkening his shadowed gaze; uncombed and unwashed hair sitting atop his forehead, unruly and swept back as though fingers had frantically run through its knots. I'm unsure of what to say so I awkwardly stand in the doorway for a moment before walking further into the paper-strewn room. Scoffing at my apparent nerves, Tony prompts me to state what I came in here for; "You gonna tell me why you're bothering me or do I need to throw something at you to get that deer-in-highlights gaze off your face?"

"I..." I debate for a moment wether to lie and wait until Wanda has news or to come clean. You're Captain America. You sort of have to tel him the truth, don't you? Damn it. I sigh and reply, "I heard your conversation with Fury. I know about the kid."

It was his turn to adopt wide eyes as he momentarily freezes, stiffening his shoulders and tightening his grip around the pen clenched in hands before dropping it on his cluttered desk and setting his head in his hands. "I- I don't know Steve. I just- he's fifteen! I mean, he's f*cking Spiderman, he can take physical torture like a champ." Tony lazily flicks a hand at me, not looking up, "he proved that during the battle. It's the psychological aspect that I'm worried about. I could barely stand a few weeks captured when I had a friend and he's only a teen!" He began to ramble on faster, his voice becoming panicked and his breath coming in gasps. I can only watch his spiral until I realize I should probably help him. I walk around to the other side of the desk and stand behind him, putting a hand on his shoulder.

"We'll find him, Tony. Wanda is looking for him now. He's a tough kid that has the Avengers looking out for him. Fury has connections to people that we don't know exist until they give some key information to 'save the day.'" He turns to me, eyes tinted red and slightly puffy from tears I didn't know snuck out until the tear streaks became apparent. I continue, "He'll be okay. It may take some time but we'll get him back and piece him back together." The man steps in front of me and rubs his palms across his cheeks to wipe away any remaining tears. I take a pace back and spread my arms, "Come 'ere, Stark. It'll be alright." He wraps his arms around my torso, apparently grateful at the contact. The slight shaking against my chest comes to a stop and I release him, keeping an hand on his right shoulder. "I'm with you, okay? You and him will get through this; he'll be found and we'll bring him back here."

Tony keeps his eyes on the floor beneath us before responding quietly, "Thanks, Steve. I think I needed that."

Suddenly the door flings open and Wanda's panic-stricken face appears into the doorway. She's out of breath and pants interject into her frantic, accented speech. "Peter... his aunt, I was looking up his relatives. I- she's in the morgue. And, Peter isn't in New York. I couldn't find him but... he's in Vermont."
