"She right behind you, Travis!  Look behind you babe, she right there!"  Travis looked behind him. "You lil shit Violet!  You scared the fuck outta me!"  Travis laughed, but Violet looked dead serious.

"T.. Travis I cant move!  Im serious this time!  Please look behind you she's right there, dont you see her!"  Tears forced their way to her eyes and Travis ran to his girlfriend, turned around and saw it.  He saw the...

"GIRLL have I got news for-"  Before she could finish, Veronica screamed as loud as possible.

"HOLY SHIT DANNY WHAT THE FUCK?  I'm watching a horror movie!  You scared me!"  Veronica turned the movie off and turned around.  "What you got for me?"

"Damn Ver, you ain't told me you was on your period.  Anyway, Colin broke up with Lacy.  Said she a hoe, can you believe that?  Colin, literally the biggest player in school broke up with her cause she a hoe?  Boys really are confusing, Veronica, that's why I ain't into em."  She sat on the couch next to Veronica and pulled out her phone, showing her the story where Colin explained what happened.

Veronica rested her chin on her hand, and took the phone from Danielle.  "I mean that shit believable though, you know?  She always fucking Tyler anyway, Colin would've found out anyways, you feel me?"

"You don't still like him though do you?  I mean you had a thing going on with him before he started dating her, didn't you?"  Suddenly, Danny's phone started ringing.  Thank god, Veronica thought.  "Sorry, that's my boss, he wants me to work Logan's shift, that lil bitch outta town with his girl again.  Gotta blast, bye Ver.  Catch up tomorrow?"  Danny put her coat on.

"Yeah we'll catch up tomorrow, don't overwork yourself again Danielle.  And get some fuckin sleep!"  They laughed, and Danny walked out the door.  God love her but she's a pain in the ass when it comes to Colin, she thought.

Veronica:

you good colin?  danny told me about what happened with your girl, im sorry bout that

Colin:

i guess ver lol, it was about time for me to find out huh?

Veronica:

Colin:

Veronica:

Colin:

aight thanks Ver

-

Veronica heard the backdoor open and looked behind her.  She saw a tall man walking in with a bag of clothes.  "Hey Colin, how you doing?"  Colin sat down next to her and threw his bag on the floor.  He looks so stressed out, like he aboutta cry or somethin..

She didn't think about what she did, she just did it.  She kissed him, and when he didn't kiss her back for a second she got scared that she did something wrong.  Then he kissed her back with more passion than he did when they were younger,  he got good at this, she thought.

Then things started to get heated.  Colin started to slide his hand up her back, to her bra strap, and she pulled back for a moment, his hand still remaining on her back.  "Are you sure about this?"  She looked at his abs.  Damn, he got fit too, how'd I not realize that?

He touched her face, and rested his forehead on hers.  "Veronica, I've never been more sure about anything in my life.  Other than kissing you in seventh grade.  Ver, my eyes are up here."

It was like magic, being with Colin.  Their clothes came off within seconds, almost like they disappeared.  That night was the best in a long time for Veronica, ever since her seventh grade kiss with him.

-

"Veronica?  Hey, are you awake?"  Colin played with her hair until she turned over.

Veronica rubbed her eyes and pulled the sheet up over her chest.  "I am now, what do you need?"  He placed his hand on her back.

"You ever like.. Ion know, you ever been with someone and knew it wasn't right?  Like, they into you and all that but you ain't diggin the relationship?  But you don't want to hurt them?"  He shut his eyes and laid on his back.

Veronica lay her head on his shoulder.  "Yeah, you remember ninth grade when I was dating Landon?  It didn't feel right, you know?  He kissed me and I didn't feel anything, he tried to get in my pants too, and I guess that's where we ended.  I didn't want to fuck him cause I didn't want my first time to be with someone I didn't love, you feel?"

"Yeah, Lacy tried to hit it the first week of us being together.  Can you believe that?  I only knew her for two weeks, for fucks sake.  I guess it's my fault she went to fuck some other dude, I didn't give her what she wanted.  Does that make me a bad person, Ver?  Ion know, I just felt like it was my fault she was being like that."  He looked at Veronica, he had this look in his eyes, sadness.  Veronica remembered when he was this vulnerable in seventh grade when his dad was fighting with his mom.  When he was innocent.

"Colin, you're a good person.  You were my best friend for years, I know you are.  Sure, now you're hot and all that shit but you're still the same kid I kissed in seventh grade."  He smiled, he was still as cute as he was back then, and he still had that scar on his lip from his cat that I always thought looked so badass on him, my Colin.

"You think I'm hot?"  He sat up.  "Veronica Rose thinks I'm hot, you know you used to say I was ugly back in eighth grade, what happened to that?"  And she turned away, and then he turned her back around and kissed her.  Not like sexy shit, but a kiss that was long awaited.  Like when they were twelve.

Veronica didn't say anything, she just laid in his arms for the rest of the night.  And he studied her, after all these years she's gotten so pretty.  Why did I stop talking to her?  She was so nice to me, about my parents, how I felt, we never fought.  What happened to us?

He slipped a sweatshirt on and wrapped his arms around her, it'd been so long since they'd slept like this together.  "I missed you, babygirl."
