"Sadie, do you know what today is? I asked and handed her a glass of water.
"Hmmm, are the boys coming home today?" Sadie asked.
The boys had been on tour the past month. Niall would call everyday and we would skype as much as we could. It was hard because of the time zones.
"Yes! I'm so excited we should do something for them!" I said and sat down in the dining room chair.
"What should we do?" Sadie says.
"Oh my God! We should have a surprise party! We can meet them at the airport and then lead them back here!" I said and went to grab a pad of paper and a pen.
"Lana, your a genius!" Sadie said.
"Ok what kinds of food?" I asked.
"Beer, chips, dip ,pretzels, fruit snacks, pineapple." Sadie said just blurting out random foods.
"Pineapple?" I asked
"Yes, who doesn't love pineapple? We need some carrots too." Sadie yelled.
I was franticlly writing down a list for the market.
"What time does the flight come?" Sadie asked.
"Like 4 I think." I said still writing.
"We better go. It's 2:30!" Sadie said getting up and grabbing her shoes.
"Ok, let's go!" We both walk out of the house and jump into my jeep. In no time we were at the market.
"I'll grab a cart!" I said running into the store.
"Let's speed shop!" Sadie suggested as she was walking towards me.
"Ok ready? WE NEED GOLDFISH AND BEER!" I yelled getting strange looks from the people shopping.
Sadie and I ran through the store searching for goldfish and beer.
"BEER!" Sadie screamed. She grabbed 2, 12 packs and threw them in the cart.
"Goldfish, chips!" I said reading the list.
We both ran around again.
"Lana, chips!" Sadie shouted and chucked the carrots in the cart.
"I found goldfish!" I said placing them on top of the beer.
We ran around like crazy people trying to find the rest of our food.
"We have every random food in our cart!" I said pushing the cart to a check out line. "Help me put these up!"
We put all our food on the counter and the cashieer gave us the strangest look. We got our bags and sprinted out of the strore to the car, threw all the food in the back seat and drove home.
"How long was our speed shopping?" Sadie asked pulling into our driveway.
"We took 32 minutes." I sai getting out of the car.
"Not bad." Sadie said handing me a bag.
I unlocked the front door and we unloaded all our food onto the dining room table.
"What time is it?" Saide asked.
"Shit, it's 4." I said looking down at my iPhone.
"We need to go now! It takes at least 30 minutes to get there!" Sadie explained as we were both running out to my car. I floored the gas petal and drove like a mad man to the air port.
I backed into a random parking space. We jogged into the air port and Sadie and I had to go through security.
"That was weird." Sadie said.
