Aberdeen was exactly what it sounded like - quiet and boring with only a hint of excitement. Kurt Cobain was only twenty years old when he met Tracy Marander, some might call that too young, but him and Tracy knew what they were in for.

It was exactly 8 p.m. when Kurt walked down to this miniature bar a couple minutes into Washington. He walked in expecting it to be like any other night, except this was a night like never before. He was bound to cross paths with Tracy and the tension in the room was determined to make sure that happened.

Kurt sat down at one of the stools in the small bar and proceeded to make an order.
"What can I get for you?"
"One Sex on the Rocks, please." "Coming right up."
Kurt looked at the guy that was making his drink and observed what he was doing. Flip, shake, catch. It was a continuation that was so fascinating to Kurt.
After about ten minutes, Kurt finally got his drink and drank it quietly while the loud yet calm music in the bar was drowning out his thoughts.

Kurt never really danced or did things that typical guys his age did — in fact Kurt was a lot different than the average male, his thought process was more in depth then some would think, but that made him more aware as well.
He stood up after finishing his drink to head out the door when he bumped into a young woman with jet black hair.

"Hey, watch where you're—." The young woman immediately shut her mouth when she looked up and locked eyes with Kurt, it was almost as if she forgot how to speak and what words to use when she finally focused her eyes on him.

Kurt on the other hand had the same reaction, a feeling of pure happiness, something he wasn't all that used too. Finally Tracy formed words and was able to mutter out a small statement.
"I-I'm sorry, I didn't see you. I'm extremely tired, so I apologize."

Kurt instantly spoke up, "No, it's my fault, I should've watched where I was going." Kurt scanned the young woman -- an intensity in his eyes, he couldn't understand why he was so worked up over someone he just met, but he didn't mind the feeling.

"I'm Tracy." There was a slight pause between them as they were still inhaling the scents of each others specific smells. "I'm Kurt."
