"No, I am challenging  you  to a cardfight battle."

Kai is in his usual seat, sitting there silently with his chin resting on his palm and looking out the window. The class hasn't started yet, there's still a few minutes left before it starts. So the class isn't filled with the students and it's quite quiet here now.

So he can easily notice some footsteps at the door of the classroom and even though he's not eager, he turns to look at that way. And he finds a familiar figure stepping in the classroom. That girl. Sylvette.

He's about to take his eyes off her before she may find him looking at her, but before Sylvette could even enter the class, a few other students approach towards her. Sylvette wasn't actually looking but at the floor mainly, but she does notice herself being surrounded and looks up, pretty much in a careless, blank look and stops in her track.

"There! You! The new student!" One of them says as he joins the group surrounding her.

"Hey you Rookie! Stop!" A girl calls out aloud.

"What do you think you're doing, huh? Earning attention on yourself right from the first day?!" Another girl says expressing her annoyance in her voice.

Sylvette blinks, shifting her stance, neither saying a word nor there's any change in her facial expression.

"We've overheard, that, you, want to be a member of our Cardfight Vanguard club here! You think that's too easy? Huh!" Now a boy speaks in a hoarse voice.

"You think we'll allow you?" The first girl says stepping forward.

"Or we need you? Or want you to be among us? A rookie?!" The other girl yells at Sylvette.

Sylvette remains the same. She doesn't get it, what have she done to bother these people? She's new here, but that doesn't mean they can call her rookie. And specially when she's not. But again, it doesn't matter what people calls her or thinks about her. It's always has been like this, so it's not a new thing either. She'd love to say something that'll shut them up for good, but also she has no such intention. Because that will only make them happy, making them feel they could get to her feelings and that will make it only worse for her.

"Huh! A rookie amongst us!" Another boy in the group laughs out aloud in a mocking tone.

"Who'll let her be in our club anyways?"

"Not me!"

"Right! Rookie like her, I doubt she knows how to play--" Another one of them continues, but gets interrupted as Sylvette slowly and swiftly makes her way past them. She now approaches to take a seat when one of them speak aloud from the back, "Oh! Did the words hurt?! Hate to speak the truth, but nobody wants you in the club! We don't need any newbies!"

"Or rookies!"

Sylvette still doesn't do or say anything, putting down her bag on the seat beside Kai, without looking at him or noticing that he's been watching her. She feels like she needs to say or do something- being just quiet actually isn't going to work, it seems her silence is making them feel successful at hurting her. So she decides to think of something to say to them.

Miwa was just about to enter the class, when he noticed a small group of students standing by the door glaring at her way, and a girl now approaching to Sylvette. He couldn't figure out what it can be about, but he decides to watch it from here. If something goes wrong, he can obvious step in or help out Sylvette.
