Becca's POV
"It should be just down here." I told Matt.
We drove down the street.
"Is that it?" Matt asked.
"Yep, that's it."
He pulled over and turned off the engine, taking a deep breath.
"What now?" Jimmy asked.
"We knock on the door." And hope she's here, though I didn't say that out loud.
We all got out and walked to the door, I knocked and waited. I didn't think anyone was home but finally the door opened.
"Becca?" Tippi's mom Vee asked.
"Is she here?" I skipped the hello's, she wasn't the nicest person in the world.
"She is."
I wished she'd open the fucking door. "Can we see her?"
"I don't know if that's a good idea."
I wanted to slap her right then. "Let me reword it, we're here to see her."
She finally opened the door and let us in, I glanced around but couldn't see Tippi.
"She's sleeping."
"Sleeping?" I asked.
"Sit down." She smiled, I didn't trust it. "Who are you?"
"This is Jim, my boyfriend and Matt."
"Ah Matt." The way she said that made me feel angry.
"Can we wake her?" Matt asked, ignoring the tone in her voice.
"Oh well." She hesitated. "You could but I had the doctor around."
Of course she had the doctor around, her answer to everything that has anything to do with Tippi is to call the doctor.
"And?" I asked.
"Well she was in such a state he sedated her."
Why did that not fucking surprise me!
"That's fine, we'll wait." I sat back on the couch.
"It could be awhile."
"Doesn't matter, we only came here for her, we have nothing else to do." She was pissed off but I didn't care.
"Can I see her?" Matt asked quietly.
"She's sleeping." Vee stated.
"Look I came all this way to see her, I just want to see her."
"Fine, it's the room at the end of the hall."
I watched him leave the room.
"What's his deal?" Vee asked.
"He loves her." It was as simple as that yet Vee had that look on her face, that 'how could anyone love her look.'
I shook my head, we needed to get Tippi out of here as soon as possible.
