Cells are easy to understand--kinda. This chapter will just have a diagram of what an animal and plant cell looks like. It seems simple, but knowing what a cell looks like and the different parts go a long way in getting basic yet important marks.
The Basics!
Animal:
plant:
boink. they are simple as hell but we don't need to know the other bits.
The functions of them are:
Membranes: determine what enters or leaves the cell, plant or animal.
Nucleus: controls the activities of the cells. Contains DNA which is organised into chromosomes.
Cytoplasm: Basically where the chemical stuff happens.Vacuole: Surrounded by the membrane and filled with a fluid called cell sap, and is a permanent structure in plant cells.
Chloroplasts: contain chlorophyll that is needed to absorb light for P H O T O S Y N T H E S I S
Cell Wall: Contains cellulose fibres that provide strongeness for the cell. Doesn't decide what enters or leaves the cell, that's membrane's job!
