Hollow Duplicate(One-Shot)

Deep within a forest, there stood a building, it was inhabited by people in an organization that was founded in the last 31 years who conducted experiments on humans subjected to slavery in pursuit of sentient weapons capable of reasoning and are efficient and adaptive to any surroundings by combining their DNA with the "beasts" that resides with them. The day before the incident that caused the demise of the building, a 6 year old boy namee Verio, was transferred to the newly built infrastructure and will stay there with the other kids that are close to his age.

The day before the incident, Verio was with his older sister and are walking to the "orphanage".

"Sis, why are we going to that building?", asked Verio. As they walk with many other kids.

"That is the newly built orphanage where you and those other kids will be transferred to.", replied Neccure.

"Ok..., but why?", he asked again as Neccure's reply didn't quite answer his question.

"Hmm..., because they're separating children by their age group, and this one will secure children aged 5-10, it's what they said, I think.", answered Neccure with uncertainty.

"Secure? We are going to an orphanage, not a prison.", said Verio.

Neccure giggled by his statement. Then the two finally arrived at their destination and Verio turned his face towards the building and wondered,

"So, we won't be in the same orphanage.",

"Hey, are you going to be alright?", asked Neccure worrily.

"Don't worry I'll be fine, I am a man now.", he answered with confidence.

"Ok, but don't be crying because I'm gone, little man.",

Neccure answered with an insulting statement with an insulting smile. Verio looked at her with a dissatisfied face. She laughed at his reaction then pats his head then said,

"Just kidding, I trust you that you'll be fine.",

*GATE OPENS*

"Looks like I'll be going now, good luck making friends in their kid.", said Neccure.

After the two exchanged their farewells, they hugged each other and Neccure sets off with a smile. As she walks away, he nodded then starts to walk towards the gate and inside the building. As he walked in, he saw the other children in a large four-sided room. The room took him by surprise since he clearly saw the size of the building from the outside being too big to only contain a room that's quite small when compared to the building. But he quickly let that thought slide because the first thing he wants to do is to make friends, and that proved to be difficult for him since he's new and others seem to be uninterested at someone who has no friends. An hour has passed, his attempts to engage a conversation with others failed with the results being him getting rejected and ignored. Upset by his failed attempts, he walks to a shelf to find something he could play. He picked a to toy car but quickly becomes uninterested because of it being actually broken. After knowing it's condition, he immediately puts it back the suddenly, someone bumps into him, a shy little girl with a dog plushie that fell when she bumped into him. He wanted to introduce himself but the girl, after picking her toy up, apologized then quickly walks away. His eyes were focused to the girl because to him she looks troubled, then he noticed that three other kids approached her. One of the three pushed her, took her toy away then immediately flees, upon seeing this, Verio followed the three to bring it back. He got into a fight with the three, outnumbered, he fell to the ground but one of the "caretakers" broke the fight and told the three delinquents to give back the toy. He obtained it but also some scratches, he searched the room until she found the girl.
