"Do you dream with your eyes open?" (Yes)
"To speak or to write?" Is a question I ask myself everynight. The thrill of speaking is forever-lasting. The idea extracted from writing is ever-lasting. In my unjust opinion, I choose both. Upon standing on a stage, my mind paints an image of me, laughing and saying "who would've thought?" With my arms raised up and a monumental grin stretched acoss my pimple-scattered cheeks.
For the extremely bored people out there reading my piece, my question for you is, to speak or to write? I would ask why you would choose either, but I'm not an exam-based paper.
Speaking of writing, it is a form of mental torture for the right words and the right thoughts but in the end just for a passage ready to be crumpled up and thrown aside. So, why exactly do I like writing?
I like it because, I start with unlimited determination, then I do it with extreme frustration. After 4-5 papers wasted, I look at the outcome with satisfaction. However, if it is typed out, best to say, deleted 10-11 times. Double the number since some of us are too broke for papers. Despite having a technological substance in hands.
Now, jokes aside, to speak or to write? Is it because I am a major attention seeker?
Maybe, I won't deny.
Is it because I get to waste my precious time embarrassing myself? I assume not, despite the cons, the pros are more outstanding than you'd think.
(Or perhaps im a greedy person who wants more love than familial love)
Anyhoo, to speak and to write, allows you to speak out, irony aside, it makes you less inferior, and even more less thoughtless. Most importantly, you'll be doing it for yourself. Not for the audience, nor for the readers.
Your thoughts will be freed from the locked diary in your mind, and your words will be shared not only to the voice inside of your head but also to the others in the outer world. I'm not saying you should speak or write. If you like it, go ahead, with all due respect, do it.
In my shameless opinion, the words you hear, the things you see, are just background noise. What you think, and what you make in your mind, is the only solid perspective you should follow.
To end my boring ted talk, I repeat with great curiosity-
to speak or to write?
