( first person )

"Val?" My voice echoed throughout the house. I repeated myself several times before I got an answer back.

"Yes?" She was lying in her bed with her phone in her hand.

"Do you want to go for a swim?" I already had my bikini underneath my shirt and shorts. No matter what she said, I was still going to go. I just didn't prefer to go to the beach alone.

She gave it a bit of thought before answering. "Sure. Let my suit and I'll meet you in the kitchen in a few." Right before I left, she got up from her bed and walked over to her closet.

When I sat on top of our counter, I felt a buzz come from my phone which was in my beach bag.

It took me a moment to realize, and when I did, I took it from it's spot and turned it on. To my surprise, it was Daniel.

hitting 500,000 subs

Kelsi:
oh yeah , thanks

Daniel:
doing anything today ?

Kelsi:
me and val are going to the
beach

No response. Kelsi didn't get a response from Daniel after that last text. It wasn't as if he didn't want to talk to her, the exact opposite. She was the only person the giraffe wanted to talk to.

Not wanting to think of it any longer, she locked her phone away onto a zippered pocket in her bag and hopped off the counter.

"Vamanos KJ." Val had a smile on her face. She was wearing her yellow swim bottoms and a cropped white tank on top. Valerie is one of the only people Kelsi know who would be comfortable walking around Los Angeles dressed like that.

"Valerie Asher." Kelsi tried to put on her most mother toned voice. "You have to go put some pants on at least."

She rolled her eyes at her best friend and pulled out a pair of her jean shorts from her bag, prepared. "I knew you were going to say something."
