( daniel's pov )

"What do you want, Anna?" I hold my phone to my ear with my shoulder, using both my hands to cut the fruits for Kelsi's smoothie and breakfast.

"Just checking up on my big brother." The way that she talked told me she just wanted to talk about Kelsi, who she befriended.

"You're not calling to check on me are you?" She confirmed what I had said and started asking me all about our date from last night. "Anna, if you want to know so bad, go facetime Kelsi and ask her. I'm making her a breakfast right now."

"I think she fell back asleep." I could hear in the back Jonah and Corbyn talking. "Guys, shut up." She moved her mouth from the microphone, but I could still hear her clearly.

"What are you doing over there?" I wiped my hands on the towel next to me and took my phone and positioned it into my hand, keeping it close to my ear. "Are the guys over?"

"No." Her response was quick and all of a sudden, the line went dead.

I took all the fruit and placed it into the blender and while that went on, I poured the rest of the strawberries and blueberries onto the waffle topped with whipped cream I had make just a few minutes before.

In a few minutes, all her food was positioned perfectly on a platter with a small edible flower on top. I took the plate and the bottle filled with her favorite smoothie, taking it up the stair and into her room.

I pushed the door open with my knee and saw the most beautiful girl, sleeping ever so peacefully. I walk over to her and put the things down onto her nightstand and went around the bed, laying beside her.

"What?" Her eyes started fluttering open and once she saw my face, the ends of her lip turned upwards. "Hi."

"Hi." My mouth mirrored hers and I gave her a quick peck on the cheek.

"What's that amazing smell?" She sits up and looks to her left to see the meal I had made for her. "Did you make that?"

"Yeah." I could already feel my cheeks getting warmer. "It's just something small."

She takes the smoothie and takes a huge gulp of it and gives me one of her smiles that makes me weak at my knees. This girl. She honestly is the best thing to ever happen to me.
