A LOST DEMIGOD: And the opening of tartarus

Chapter 1

It was late in the afternoon that day, the day where everything changed, the day where that I would look back on for the rest of my life and ask, why? I never wanted any of it to happen it just did. And the worst part was that nobody believed me. The only choice I had was to do what I was told.

I was in gym class period when everything went down hill. We where playing dodgeball when all the lights in the gym went out. we where asked to go into the the hallway, but when we went out of the gym the lights in the hall where out to. I wasn't panicking at that moment like a few of the other kids. I knew that it was just a blackout and that the lights would come back on in a few minutes.                                                                                                                                                                         "what do you think happened?" asked Kassie. "oh there was probably just a power outage . It should be back on any minute" I said calmly.

We waited in that hallway for 5 minutes until the first sign of trouble came. the building shook, as if it where going to fall down. everyone dropped down to the floor and covered there heads. "everyone out of the doors as quickly as possible!!!" yelled the gym teacher. we all started running and pushing to try and get out of the door. I made my way through the crowd to try and find Kassie.                                                                                                                                                               "Kassie! KASSIE!!!" I yelled. when we all got outside everyone started yelling and screaming. and at first I just thought that they where scared and wanted to get away but then I looked up and the top of the school and noticed what everyone was scared of. Standing right in front of us was an dracaena. but that was impossible, those where mythical greek creatures, they weren't real. 

Everyone started to run out of the school grounds. everyone was yelling                                               "It's a murderer, A murderer!!!". but that was impossible. "I must be seeing things." I thought. then I saw Kassie, Her dark black hair always sticks out but she was being pushed and run over by bigger people. I ran over and helped her up telling everyone to get out of the way which was very effective. "annabeth do you see it too, do you see that monster!!!" " thats when I stopped. "wait you can see that?!?!" I yelled                                                                                                                          "yes I can" she said in a scared voice " and its coming right for us!".
