"Annabeth, how did you get us passed your dad. That was like a miracle" Kassie whispered. And to be honest I had no idea. I didn't even remember talking to him. All I remember was him saying "Ok have a nice trip". Then kassie asked the impossible question "And one other thing... how are we supposed to fight off the monsters. You saw how easily... How easily they took your mom". And for once in my life I was stuck, I felt as if I was in a hole that no human could possibly get out of. Or as if I was trying to do an impossible puzzle. except I was always used to being the one who could solve the puzzle. But at this point, I couldn't even put together a single piece.

The only start that we had was how to get to California. We also needed weapons. And both Kassie and I had no Idea how to use weapons. I only had one Idea of how to get weapons, And I wasn't sure if it was the smartest. But I knew we had to do it. The museum was the only way. We where going to have to steal from the museum.

We decided that we would sleep for the night at my house. We wouldn't be telling Kassie's parents, even though we had gotten past my dad with no problem, we couldn't risk the chance of kassie's parents, first not believing us and second just saying no. Because I had a strange feeling that they wouldn't listen. The next thing we did was set out a plan for the museum. Of course neither me or Kassie had ever stolen before. But By the late afternoon we had devised out our whole plan.

We would be leaving to the museum early in the morning so that we would see minimal people when we where there. Of course that meant security was more likely to see us but we where going to take the risk. We would both be carrying duffle bags to put the weapons in, and we would have suitcases because we would be leaving to the airport so we could get away and because we didn't want to risk missing our flight.

We woke up early the next morning all ready to go. We walked over to the museum with no problem and got there 30 minutes after it opened. Perfect, just late enough that we wouldn't look suspicious, and just early enough  so that we would be just on time, if not early, for out flight. This was going to be perfect. But I soon found out that it would be anything but perfect.

When we walked in the front doors there was a security guard right there but I didn't get worried until he said something to us, "Good morning young ladies can I have you right this way to put your bags in a safe spot". I didn't know what to do, but luckily Kassie stepped in "I think that we will keep our bags, we will only be here for half an hour and then we need to catch our flight" then he said something that automatically made me know that something was completely wrong ,"I'm sorry but its a policy here that we don't allow bags in the museum exhibits." But heres the thing, I had come here over 50 times and they always, always allowed bags in.
