"...You won't run away, willyou?"

"I won't, but only for now, as I am hungry, but I am not sure I am able to forgive you completely."

"Ah, Sanem... We'll talk about this after we eat something."

There she was, once again having a delicious sojuk sandwich with her Divit, who seemed to be back to his usual self, the Can she loved, both in style and character. The bun, the bandana, the albatross necklace, and most importantly, the tenderness and love in his voice and eyes were all back, with a much stronger effect on her than before.

Though after those beautiful moments in the car she had definitely forgiven him, she had decided to act playfully and show him the opposite, but God knows how difficult that was for her with the way he was looking at her. What was making it more difficult is the flashes of memory of that moment of passion they'd had in the archive room. "Ah, Sanem, ah! Instead of making him suffer a bit you will be the one suffering it seems, right?" her inner voice, which had been dormant for a while, hissed in her ear.

"Sus!" Sanem said angrily, addressing her inner voice, forgetting as usual that she was not alone.

"Huh? Sanem, I did not say a word for you to hush me!" said Can, "or is it that you're back to the habit of talking to yourself?"

"Seems like both of us are back to our true nature, right, Can bey?" She decided to go back to calling him Can bey to assist her with her plan, even after the slip of the tongue a few minutes ago when she called him with his mere name.

"Can bey? Sanem... you remember what I told you once I would do if you called me Can bey, don't you? Well, with my true nature back, I promise I will do the same thing if you call me so again, and I won't care about us being in a public place," said Can calmly, with his usual playful smile and stare in her eyes in such situations.

Sanem went red, and her eyes widened, looking around her and knowing that Can is more than capable of keeping his word and making a scene by kissing her in front of all those travellers in the same we he did when he carried her. So she decided to avoid calling him altogether, so that she doesn't feel completely defeated.

"Now, before you continue arguing with me, let's first talk about the things we need to discuss." Can started, by leaning forward towards her and looking straight into her eyes, "Sanem, I told you in the car that I was sorry. I was a fool and acted like a beast. You know why I did what I did, but I regret every single word I said to you and every single thing I did afterwards. Please forgive me?" Can implored her, not only with his words, but with his eyes.

Oh, those delicious eyes, topped by those perfect brows that gave them that sharp look, always piercing her heart like cupid's arrows. Every time he looked at her like that she froze first, then melted next, then felt fires burning inside of her, not to mention her childish imaginings of hearts and stars surrounding him.

She thanked God that the waiter came and interrupted her fantasies, which gave her some time to collect herself and continue with her resolve.

"This is easy for you to say, but do you know how I felt in the past few days? That my perfume was more important to you than me. And that your love to me was merely physical. And that I as a person never really mattered to you as much as the 'magic' the perfume created did."

"Sanem, my love, how could you think such a thing? You have all the right to be angry with me for what I did, but you also know very well that there is no one and nothing in this world that I love more than you. What I did was just a stupid reaction, nothing else. Give me the punishment you think will satisfy you, but not staying away from you. The past few days have been like hell for me and I have suffered enough from distance."

Sanem was speechless, and her heart ached for the pain she saw in his eyes. Though she was at first adamant to drag this further, now she was not sure that was a good idea. She remained silent for a while, and before it became an awkward silence, a cute little thing interrupted them both.

A little baby of almost two years old, whose parents were having dinner a few tables away from them, had been playing around happily and at that moment ran towards them chasing a toy she threw in their direction. The toy came right under Can's feet. He bent down to catch the toy at the same time when the kid tripped and was on the verge of hitting her face on the not very smooth floor if Can hadn't grabbed her last minute.

Out of fear, the baby was on the brink of crying, but Can carried her, gave her the toy, and started pacifying her, which made her stop her pre-crying gasps. Sanem, who adores kids, stood and started talking to the baby too, thanking God for Can's quick reaction.

The child's mother ran towards them and thanked Can. Can smiled at her and started small talk with her, which Sanem took part in as well. The mother took the baby right away to check on her and to pacify her, but to her surprise she threw herself at Can again, to which the mother did not object. On the contrary, she laughed and handed the baby back to Can saying "So you loved Uncle Hero? (Addressing Can) Do you mind?"

Who wouldn't love Uncle Hero, Sanem thought. Can took the baby again and started giving her tiny hand little nose kisses and playing with her. This was the first time Sanem had seen him with a child in his hands; how natural he was with kids! And this was probably the cutest thing she had ever seen in her life: a huge man holding a tiny baby with such delicate care that melts anyone's heart. Her eyes started shining with love and her smile widened, and then she also started talking to and playing with the baby.

Can passed the baby to her as he knew how much she loved kids. Looking at them, Can couldn't help but imagine her pregnant with a baby of his while carrying their little girl in her hands. His eyes were filled with adoration and hope for a future like this for them, and their gazes met. Sanem blushed and felt her body temperature rising as she knew what he was fantasizing; she could see it in his eyes. He also saw in her eyes that she was having similar thoughts.

The mother of the baby interrupted their telepathy by saying, "You are lucky Sanem, for having a partner that is so good with kids. Are you married already or not yet?

"Not yet," they both said together, and then gave each other a quick look before Can continued, "but soon to be, God willing," and gave Sanem a second cute and questioning gaze.

Sanem was about to swoon as she suddenly felt a weakness in her legs. The child's mother came to her rescue by reminding her of her presence, "Then I wish you a very happy future marriage blessed with lots of babies."

Sanem blushed once more, while Can immediately replied, "Amen, and thanks a lot." The woman then took the baby, excused herself, and went back to her table.

"Lots of them, amen" he said again, but this time, whispering in her ear, and driving all the crimson blood in her body to her face.
