Virgil POV

My shift ended in 3 minutes. The cafe was practically deserted as it was around 5pm on a Friday (ik it's actually really busy at this time but shhh). Give it 30 more minutes and it would be p a c k e d . Joan arrived at exactly 5. I grabbed my stuff and ran out the door, yelling a greeting to them on my way past. I wanted to get out before all of the rush started. I started walking to the bus stop. I briefly looked up. It was a nice evening, so there was no need to bus home. Good. I hate busing. It always makes my anxiety go through the roof, and my house was only a 15 minute walk away. I started walking when I felt a buzzing coming from my pocket. I pulled out my phone.

Happy-Pappy Patton™

Is Calling you

I picked up.

"Hey Pat, what's up?"

"Nothing! Logan and I were just wondering when you were arriving for movie night?"

Shit. I checked the date. It was Friday. Every Friday, Patton, Logan and I watched a movie together. In all the events that had happened today, I had forgotten about it.

"Virgil. Did you forget about movie night?"

"Mabbbyyy...." I replied.

I could here Patton sighing through the phone.

"Well I'm going to assume that something bad happened to make you forget, so Logan and I will come pick you up, wherever you are, and you are going to tell us exactly what happened, ok?"

"Yes Pat."

I told him where I was and hung up.

Less than ten minutes had passed when Patton and Logan arrived. Logan (He's the one driving) pulled up alongside me and motioned for me to get in. I slowly opened the door, bracing myself for whatever Patton was about to say or do.

"Oh you poor little anxious baby! What happened? Are you alright?"

I mentally groaned. The one thing I hated about Patton, it was the 'cute' names he called me.

"Im fine.." I grumbled in response. Patton looked as if he was about to say else, but Logan motioned for him to shh. Logan cleared his throat.

"*ahem* Virgil, we have reason to believe that you are not in fact 'fine'". Logan said. Patton nodded in agreement. "You never forget about movie night. You have said, and I quote, 'that movie night is the highlight of your week" He continued.

"Virge, please tell us what happened." Patton pleaded. I looked into his eyes and saw how concerned he was.

"I had an anxiety attack during work." I mumbled.

"YOU WHAT." Patton exclaimed. Logan braked suddenly, causing me to fall forward a bit.

"But don't worry, a friend helped me out." I continued.

"And which friend might this be?" Logan inquired. Shit. I couldn't tell them about Roman, as his real identity was classified. I suddenly understood how all the superheros felt.

"He's no one, just someone who comes to the cafe a lot."

"He?" Logan raised an eyebrow.

I groaned internally.

"Virgil's got a boyfriend." Patton started saying in a sing-song voice

This time I groaned externally.

"He's not my boyfriend." I snapped. Logan chuckled.

"Sure."

I covered my face with my hands in attempt to hide my blushing. I could just imagine Roman and I dating. I shook my head, trying to get rid of that thought.

"He's probably straight anyway." I said, knowing full well that he wasn't.

"You're not denying liking him, though." Patton replied. The car stopped.

"We're here." Logan said. I got out of the car and faced away from the house. Smiling I let the thought re-enter my mind. Maybe I liked Roman more than I was ready to admit
